Given access to a Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) application (CN) and after
reviewing their understanding of its functionalities (CN), learners will use the application for
fifteen minutes (CR) to generate ten original images (B) demonstrating experimentation and
exploration of creative use of chosen aperture or shutter speed techniques (CR).
Third goal step: Curate a Selection from GenAI Images for Analysis
Performance objective(s)
After generating ten original images (CN, CR), students will curate a selection (B) of three
images (CR) that best emphasize the creative use of their chosen aperture or shutter speed
technique and interest them creatively (CR).

Using their previously acquired understanding of their chosen photographic techniques (CN),
prior knowledge of composition, design principles, and art elements (CN), and awareness of
available equipment (CN), students will critically analyze the curated GenAI images (B),

ensuring alignment with the creative techniques and desired outcomes to create one emulation
with eighty percent accuracy (CR).

Performance objective(s)
Given guidelines for constructive feedback and peer critique sessions (CN) and using prior
knowledge of how to use an online discussion board (CN), students will submit their
emulation photographic works for review (B), provide constructive feedback (B) to two peers
(CR), and be receptive to feedback on their work (B) to actively participate in discussions
(CR).

Using feedback from the discussion board (CN) and continued access to photography
resources (CN), students will revise their photographic works (B) and submit finalized
artworks (B) that demonstrate notable (CR) improvements in technique execution, creativity,
or alignment with the intended artistic vision (CR).

Instructions for observer: First, explain to learners the benefit of emulative practice for
developing creativity, then ask learners to choose an aperture or shutter speed technique for creative
study. Second, demonstrate how to use a GenAI application to generate original images with chosen
technique. Third, allow learners to time generate their own original images, curate a selection, and
analysis for emulative practice. Fourth, allow learners time to produce emulations for online
