• Biological waste substance: any materials that
contains or has been contaminated
by biohazardous agent.
• Examples: petri dishes, surgical wraps, culture
tubes, syringes, needles, blood vials, pipette
tips
Note:
Biohazardous agent: agent that is biological in nature,
capable of self replication, has the capacity to produce
deleterious effects upon biological organisms. Examples;
pathogens, cultured animal cells, experimental tissues
from animals, plants and etc.
