PRESS RELEASE

Sequel to the memo released by the Secretary General of the Law Students Association,
University of Calabar Chapter with ref: LS/UCC/002/23 the LAWSAN Parliament in
exercise of her Constitutional power, by this notice, invites all the appointees of the
LAWSAN Executive President, as contained in the above cited press release, to appear before
the House for their screening and confirmation exercise on the 6th of February 2024. This
invitation should be treated with utmost importance as the screening process is a prerequisite
for the confirmation of such appointment.
The appointees are also advised to prepare any document and/or presentation material which
will which will aid their intimation of the House on the plans and roadmap they have in store
for fellow Lawsanites during the duration of their appointment. All appointees of offices that
are entrenched in the LAWSAN Constitution are enjoined to peruse their respective sections
and appear before the House with the requisite documents.
All Lawsanites are enjoined to click the link below to fill out the private form and send in any
concerns or observations about any of the appointees which may deem them unfit in character
and person from holding office. These concerns will be considered by the Parliament
discretionally and Lawsanites may be summoned before the House to authenticate such
claims or concerns. The Parliament also encourages Lawsanites to embrace urgency at this
time, so as to enable the House properly carry out its functions.
