COMMUNIQUÉ RELATING TO THE ORGANIZATION

OF THE PUPILAGE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

The President of the Cameroon Bar Association hereby informs

candidates for the pupilage entrance examination that he presided
over a Bar Council session on January 12, 2024, to clarify the
application modalities of the Bar exams.
After deliberations, the Bar Council members, by a majority, adopted
a resolution bearing precisions on the sum of Fifty thousand (50000)
CFA that was adopted during the Bar council session of December 28,
2023 as participation fees to be paid by candidates to the exams.
This amount is broken down and attributed as follows:
- 30000 (thirty thousand) CFA to be paid the candidates to cover
supplementary costs for the organization of the exams. (A receipt
for the payment of this sum into the Bar Association’s account No.
10001 06865 30508 065001-13 with BICEC bank is required as part of
the documents to be submitted with the candidate’s application

30508 065001-13. Participation is optional, but strongly
recommended.
In addition, all letters of sponsorship must be accompanied by an
attestation of the existence of chambers issued by the Bar President's
representatives, special delegates or by the heads of the committees
set up for this purpose. (The absence of this document will result in the
rejection of the candidate’s application).
The Bar Council has decided not to impose a specific model for the
sponsorship letter, but it must be written on the chambers/firm's
headed paper and must bear the sponsor's name, date of Call-to-the-
Bar, matricule, telephone number and professional residence.
