RECALLING THE EVENTS OF AUSCHWITZ- AS OF SEPTEMBER 1941

January 25th, 1940: Construction of a concentration camp near Oswiecim (Auschwitz)

May 20th 1940: First lot of “professional German criminals” are brought to Auschwitz under false pretenses.
June 14th 1940: Over 800 Polish prisoners deported from a prison in Poland to Auschwitz
March 1st 1941:
expansion of the concentration camp to hold more prisoners
increase in the amount of forced labor
September 3rd 1941: First gassing of prisoners in makeshift gas chambers
