3DEXPERIENCE and Materials Studio
The 3DEXPERIENCE platform is a collaborative environment that empowers businesses and people to innovate in entirely new ways and create products and services using virtual experiences. It provides a real-time view of business activity and ecosystem, connecting people, ideas, and data.
Materials Studio Simulation
3DEXPERIENCE platform includes the Materials Studio Simulation app. Materials Studio Simulation provides access to the Materials Studio highly comprehensive modeling and simulation environment. It is designed to allow chemists and materials scientists to predict and understand the relationships of a material’s atomic and molecular structure with its properties and behavior. Through simulations of catalysts, polymers, composites, metals, alloys, pharmaceuticals, battery materials and more, researchers in many industries can accelerate the development of new materials.
Materials Studio for 3DEXPERIENCE
From the Compass, you can use the Materials Studio Simulation app to download, install, and run Materials Studio for 3DEXPERIENCE. When you run Materials Studio from the Compass, you can submit jobs to the 3DEXPERIENCE Cloud compute servers. Submitting jobs to 3DEXPERIENCE Cloud compute servers does not use the Materials Studio gateway. Running Materials Studio simulations on 3DEXPERIENCE Cloud compute servers helps you to: Accelerate the innovation process: drive deeper understanding of the interactions that define material properties. Reduce research and development costs: minimize the number of physical experiments by means of “Virtually Screening” candidates.
Credits for Materials Studio Simulations on 3DEXPERIENCE Cloud
When you run a Materials Studio job on a 3DEXPERIENCE cloud compute server, this does not use the BIOVIA License Pack and Materials Studio license features to determine whether you can run the job. For 3DEXPERIENCE cloud Materials Studio jobs, you can purchase credits and use them to run jobs with any module, independent from any licenses you might have. This gives you the freedom to explore different scientific and theoretical approaches to the same type of simulation without obtaining an additional license. For example, you can run geometry optimizations using Forcite, DFTB+, and ONETEP without obtaining licenses for all those modules.
