object.
What is the product they are manufacturing?

► The Jet Fusion 5200 is an industrial 3D printer produced by HP. HP is a

3D printer manufacturer based in United States. The Jet Fusion 5200 was
released in 2019 and uses Binder Jetting 3D printing technology.
This industrial 3D printer offers a build volume of 380 x 284 x 380 mm.

What is the process they are using?

► Multi jet fusion is a powder based technology

► HP’s Multi Jet Fusion technology uses a fusing agent and a detailing agent

which are jetted to selectively melt powder particles to form an object.

► Multi Jet Fusion uses a fine-grained material that allows for ultra-thin layers
of 80 microns.

► MJF also has very smooth surface finish and minimal post production
finishing.
What is the input material type ?

► Delivers a breadth of applications for various markets with

PP (Polypropylene)
PA 11 (Polyamide 11 / Nylon 11)
PA 12 (Nylon 12)
PA 12 GB ( PA12 GB is a polyamide and glass bead powder designed by
HP).
TPU (Thermoplastic polyurethane)
How much is the cost of the product?

► The Jet Fusion 3D 4200 costs $268,000. While this is a costly industrial

printer, compared to other options (and their limitations), the 4200 could help
companies produce objects quickly and economically.

► The HP 5200 series of machines is the latest advancements in HP's Multi

Jet Fusion technology. These machines are aimed at true production work.
The hardware costs are higher, but the reliability, accuracy, and low cost per
part are unrivaled in the industry. The 5200 machine ranges from $350,000
to $500,000.
