WORLD CONTEXTS (Criteria D)

DUE DATE: 15 MARCH 2024

OBJECTIVE:
To reflect on the implications and applications of stoichiometry calculations in
real-world scenarios outside of chemistry, and to evaluate the benefits and
limitations of applying stoichiometry in different fields.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Choose one real-world scenario or field outside of chemistry where

stoichiometry calculations can be applied. Examples include
environmental science, pharmacology, environmental engineering,
nutritional science, energy production, metabolism and biochemistry, or
environmental impact assessment.

2. Conduct research to gather information about the chosen real-world

scenario or field and its application of stoichiometry calculations. Use
reputable sources such as scientific journals, textbooks, or reliable online
resources.

3. Write a reflective report that addresses the following points:

a. Describe the selected real-world scenario or field and its relevance.

b. Explain how stoichiometry calculations can be applied in the chosen

scenario or field.
c. Provide specific examples of how stoichiometry calculations are used
and their significance in the selected context.

d. Reflect on the implications and benefits of applying stoichiometry in
