Choices of Individual Term Paper topics (Feb 22, 2024)

Please choose one of the following topics to develop it into a full term paper
following the specific requirements outlined in the syllabus.

Due date: Thursday, April 18 by 5 pm via Moodle

1. Discuss why renewable energy, such as solar and wind power, is not extensively
used in Hong Kong even though it is more environmentally friendly than fossil
fuels.

2. Use a specific location (e.g., Brail, Indonesia, and some African countries) to
assess the effects of deforestation on climate change and possible ways to
achieve the sustainable forest management and climate.

3. Discuss the impact of the development of Northern Metropolis in Hong Kong:

Land use, nature conservation, and sustainability.
