Passengers at a London Underground Station

Fluctuations in Passenger Numbers at London

Underground train Stations Over Time

The graph shows how many people were at a London underground train station in each
different time of the day (from 6 :00 am to 10:00 pm).

The busiest time is in the morning. Lots of people start coming in between 6:00 and
8:00 in the morning, with 400 people there at 8:00 am. Then fewer people come, and
by 10:00 am, there's less than 200.

From 10:00 am to 02:00 pm, there is a small increase in the number of passengers
from just under 200 passengers to 300 passengers .

In the afternoon, numbers decline, with less than 100 passengers at 4:00 pm
There is then a rise to a peak of 350 at 6:00 pm. After 7:00 pm, numbers fall with only
a minor increase again at 8:00 pm, tailing off after 9:00 pm
the graph shows that the station is most busy in the early morning and early evening
periods.
