Prepositions
Simply put, prepositions show the position or place of something. They are usually put before
nouns or pronouns – the cat is on the mat, boy under the table.

Conjunctions
Conjunctions are joining words – they join two sentences, phrases, or clauses together.

Example:

I feel tired. I couldn’t sleep last night.

I feel tired because I couldn’t sleep last night.
