Hi everyone! My name is Huyen. I’m an expert in the organization “ Save the Children”.

Now, I
would like to propose a meaningful program for the poor children who are in mountainous areas
of Quang Tri province.
First and foremost, the reason why I choose to help with the children in mountainous areas is
because I was born and raised in a mountainous area too, where there are a lot of households
that may lack facilities and always make ends meet in life. Therefore, I want to better their
quality of life, especially the children.
The program that I want to suggest is about arranging a mid-autumn festival for children in a
primary school in Huong Phung which involves 4 activities: performing arts, dragon dances and
lion dances, dealing out the mid-autumn festival‘s cakes and fruit, and giving special gifts.
First, let’s talk about the initial activity - performing arts. This activity will have about 3
performances. The first performance is from the volunteers of Save the Children. Next is for the
children who want to show their singing talent. The final performance is a dance performance by
2 volunteers who have disgusted 2 legendary characters - The Man in the Moon and Moon
goddess. I suppose these 2 characters will bring fascinating and interesting moments for the
children. This activity is organized in order to give them the opportunities to acquaint themselves
with each other and with the volunteers. It also helps them to be more confident in front of the
crowds and show their aptitude. Furthermore, It is organized with the aim of helping them enjoy
the performing arts in relation to the mid-autumn festival.
Another activity is the lion dances. As everyone knows, this activity is part and parcel, of the
soul of the mid-autumn festival, so it is impossible not to mention it in the mid-autumn festival.
Children can derive numerous benefits from this meaningful activity. One of the convincing
positive aspects is that it brings amusement to the kids. It is definitely that they will be
enthusiastic about the dances which hinge on the traditions of the nation.
The next rewarding activity is dealing out the mid-autumn festival‘s cakes and fruit. Our
organization will prepare a huge five-fruit plate which is full of confectioneries for the kids. This
is the daily bread of the mid-autumn festival. Children joining in this activity benefit from an
increased feeling of well-being. On top of that, through this, children can experience the tradition
of the mid-autumn festival in an entire way.
Finally, we will prepare a slew of gifts for all the children in the school. Each gift includes a
pack of confectioneries, stationeries, and clothes. The special one is some scholarships for the
students who have overcome obstacles and get excellent student awards regardless of
impoverished life. This means that we can enhance their quality of life. It also encourages the
spirit of achieving high academic performances and creates the children who are suffering from
difficulties a better learning environment. It seems that the emotions of children, the love, and
also the smiles and their looks are the huge inspiration for us to have more implements of this
meaningful program which spreads positive energy to the society.
To sum up, I will propose a program for the impoverished children who are in the
mountainous areas in Quang Tri. It includes performing arts, lion dances, dealing out the mid-
autumn festival‘s cake and fruit, and sending gifts to the excellent children. I hope this will be a
