TIPS FOR THE
SPEAKING SECTION
1. You can always ask the examiner to repeat the instructions
2. Answer the questions of each prompt assertively
3. Read carefully the instructions and the topics you are asked to debate
4. As long as you answer naturally, you don’t have to use a lot of vocabulary
a. Talk with the other candidate in a friendly tone
b. Discuss different points of view without skipping any prompt
c. Interrupt the other candidate if they are arrogant (peacock, anxious)
5. Incorporate connectors, phrasal verbs, modals and idioms
