REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND STUDIES

This chapter will provide an overview regarding the significance of Physical

Education to the life career of the graduates of this course. Related Literature and studies in

connection with this study was also discussed. This graduate tracer survey (GTS) collects data on

the graduate’s college experience skills learned and quality of instruction and how it relates to

employability. Relevant studies were previewed and summed up in order to give a clear

foundation on the current investigation. These were discovered at the University of La Salette

and were taken from books, magazines of both local and foreign origin, and unpublished sources.

The related article of Ismail & Mohammed, (2015) “In the 21st century,

employability skill is the most required skill besides technical knowledge in an attempt to

compete for employment and sustain job at the industrial global market” Employability skills, is

a soft skills or transferable skills, refer to a set of qualities and abilities that are not specific to a

particular job or industry but are valued across various professional settings. These skills

complement technical expertise and are often sought after by employers when making hiring

decisions. They enable individuals to adapt, collaborate, communicate effectively, and navigate

the dynamic nature of the modern workplace.

The related study of Eduardo Carag (2020) is relevant to the to finding of the study

conducted states that the most of graduates are employed in government and private agencies.

Only a few graduates landed on professional teaching positions. The fundamental objective of

the College is to develop competent teachers through a well-rounded program of music, arts,

physical education, and health activities. However, only a small percentage of graduates found

employment in professional teaching jobs.

The related article of Misra & Khurana, (2017). “Employability of graduates

therefore has become an issue that is not easy to be ignored in the global economy” the

employability of graduates has become a crucial issue in the global economy due to the rapidly

changing job market, the mismatch between education and industry needs, the competitiveness

of the job market, the importance of transferable skills, the necessity of lifelong learning, and the

significance of work experience. Recognizing and addressing these factors is vital for ensuring

that graduates are well-prepared for the evolving world of work.

The related study of Madonna Castro -Gonzalez, Jesus D. Gonzales ( 2016) is relevant

to the study conducted because the respondents indicated that their PNU training closely relates

to their employment. After graduation, the majority of them were hired for their first job after

passing the LET. They applied by application, and because there was a need for them in the field,

they were hired. One of the challenges in applying was the lack of available positions. Training

is a crucial role in enhancing employability by equipping individuals with the necessary skills,

knowledge, and attributes to succeed in the job market.
