Dear Parents,
Indian Space Research Organization is organizing a special program for School Children called "Young
Scientist Program " "YUva VIgyani KAryakram”, YUVIKA, to impart basic knowledge on Space
Technology, Space Science and Space Applications to the younger students in emerging trends in space
science and technology.
The program envisages two weeks of classroom training, practical demonstration of experiments, hands-
on CANSAT, Robotic kit, Model rocketry interactions with ISRO scientists and field visits.
It's a residential program for 13th to 24th May 2024 (12 days) and travel costs for selected students
in the program will be reimbursed up to II tier AC
 Registration Eligibility
o Students studying in only Class 9 as of January 1, 2024
o Applicant must score above 50% in the 8th standard.

  Online Registration Process

o Step 1: Register in ISRO Antariksha Jigyasa Platform - https://jigyasa.iirs.gov.in/registration

o Step 2: Verify your email as received after successful registration on the above website. Please
click on the verification link sent to your registered email ID.
o Step 3: Participate in Space Quiz. Read Quiz guidelines carefully before appearing for the quiz.
o Step 4: Fill in your personal profile and education details
o Step 5: Students need to take a photocopy of the certificates and attest the same by the
principal/Head of School signing the certificate for verification. The verified certificate needs to
be scanned and uploaded to the website. The photocopy of attested certificates and certificate for
verification need to be uploaded to the website.
o Step 6: Generate your certificate for verification by your principal/Head of School/ Parent/
Guardian (Any mismatch observed in the attached certificate (s) by the student and certificate for
verification submitted by the student will be liable for cancellation of candidature of the student)
o Step 7: Scan and upload your document and submit the application.

 Selection Process
o A minimum participation will be ensured from each State / UT.
o Qualifying for Online Quiz for 30 minutes on the topic of space (Negative marking scheme)
o The selection of participants in YUVIKA-2024 will be carried out based on the provided
parameters.

Performance in the online quiz 10%

Participation in science fair (school/district/state & above level in last 3 years) 2/5/10%

Rank in Olympiad or equivalent (1 to 3 rank in School/District/State & above level in last 3 years) 2/4/5%

Winners of sports competitions (1 to 3 rank in School/District/State & above level in last 3 years) 2/4/5%

Scout and Guides / NCC / NSS Member in last 3 years 5%

Studying in a Village / Rural School located in the Panchayat area 15%
