1.4 PRIMARY LOADS AND CONSTRUCTION LOADS

The following are the applicable load cases.

DL | Dead Load
Imposed dead loads and self-weight of framing members, components & etc. shall be included within the calcula ons. For
analysis done in so ware, self-weight is automa cally calculated and incorporated. Addi onal allowance shall be considered if
deemed necessary. See load diagram for dead load for the detailed imposed dead load considera on.
WL | Wind Load
Wind load intensity to be considered 1.6 kPa at the design calcula on.

EQ | Seismic Load
Shall be in accordance with the requirements of SBC 301-CR-18 Chapter 13 "Seismic Design Requirements for Non-structural
Components". See sec on 2.1 for the detailed seismic force factor calcula on.

1.5 LOAD COMBINATIONS

Load combina ons for LRFD in accordance with ASCE7-05 Clause 2.3.2. Highlighted are the applicable combina ons.
1.6 DEFLECTION LIMITS
For metal panels such as louver blades deflec on limit due to 10-year MRI wind = L/175.

For ver cal aluminum member support, the acceptable limit due to 10-year MRI wind = L/300.
