Abstract: It’s an electronic vegetable market making the vegetable market more convenient for the
use of civilian and even to keep the transparency in the whole market system from retailer to the
whole-seller. The main objective of this project is to build a website which will help civilian,
retailer, whole-seller and even the farmer to get the best from his inputs. With the help of this a
farmer will be able to know the best value for his vegetable and will not be fooled by the
marketers. It will help in keeping the transparency between the whole-seller and retailer and also
the selection for civilian for his requirement become easy. So this will help in eradicating black
marketing and inflation. People can register to have a complete view of the market including the
pricing of vegetables, pricing difference between whole-seller and retailer, best possible retailer in
the market for civilian in his area, revenue generated last month and a period of time. Non
registered can have an overview of these facilities excluding some. Feedback facilities for the
users. But mentioning the unique id of the complainer. Admin will be able to see all records from
any users. This records shown for selling is available in a format of Quantity name, Quantity
available, Price. Person have facility of booking vegetables for commercial use on a large scale
online through bigger marketers.

Keywords: Electronic markets, electronic auction, agricultural commodity markets.

I. INTRODUCTION
E-Mandi is an online vegetable store dedicated towards providing services to people in making online marketing
accessible to them. E-Mandi is an online store which allows the people to buy the Vegetables and Fruits with ease and
maintains a transparency between the farmer and customer. With this application the customer can buy the vegetables
and fruits at best value. One can easily browse through the various items using the well defined interfaces provided by
the system.

II. CONCEPT
At E-Mandi we believe in complete customer satisfaction. It is use to simply any customer buy product and also
farmer sell her vegetables without any broker. The online market has grown tremendously over the last decades, with
sales and consumer adoption increasing every year. The General objective of this dissertation is to portray a complete
and detailed picture of overall purchase decision making process of consumers shopping online for fruits and
vegetables.

III. LITERATURE REVIEW

Literature review is the most important step in software development process. Before developing the tool it is
necessary to determine the time factor, economy and company strength. Once these things are satisfied, then next steps
are to determine which operating system and language can be used for developing the tool. Once the programmers start
building the tool the programmers need lot of external support. This support can be obtained from senior programmers,
from book or from websites. Before building the system the above consideration are taken into account for developing
the proposed system.
 Building a web application which gives information about vegetables.
 Designing an application with which user can feel free to know the details.

A. Existing System

As shown in Figure, the block-based traceability system described in this paper mainly includes enterprise entities,
consumers, and regulators in the supply chain, which are connected through a decentralized network. Each node in the
network corresponds to an Ethereum account, which represents its identity in the system and can be used to deploy
smart contracts. The enterprise entities in the supply chain can be summarized as Farmer, admin, customer, and visitor.
And the functions and specific roles of each network node are described below.

B. Proposed System
The main objective of the proposed application is to build a website that will help the framer to get the best from his
inputs. There will be the availability of up-to-date information on rates in various state Mandis. It gives choice to
decide when and where to sell the product. Functionalities of

Proposed Model:
 People can now register to have a complete view of the agriculture market prices
 Feedback or complaint facilities is directly connected to government bodies that keeps a view on the market
and mentions the unique id of the complainer
 It is available in regional language.

IV. METHODOLOGY
For developing this application we used waterfall model which is also called as linear sequential model or classic
life cycle model. As it is a linear sequential flow it means that next phase can begin only after the completion of
previous phase so it is called as linear sequential model.
It contains various stages as follows: Requirement Analysis, Design, Implementation, Testing and Operation and
Maintenance.

A. Advantages
 This model is easily understandable and have explainable phases and thus it is convenient to used them.
 In this model phases are proceed and completed one at a time and they do not overlap.

B. Disadvantages
 During testing phase, it tedious task to go back and make changes in the previous phase.

VI . SYSTEM DESIGN
Requirements gathering is followed by carefully analyzing leads to a systematic Object-Oriented Design (OOAD).
There are various activities that have been identified and are represented using Unified Modeling Language (UML)
diagrams. UML can be used to specified, visualized, modified, & can construct and document the artifacts of an object-
oriented software-intensive system under the development process.

A. ER Diagram
An ER model is an abstract way that describes a database. Describing a database usually starts with a relational
database, which stores data into tables. Some of the data in the tables point to data in other tables -for instance, your
entry in the database could point to several other entries for each of the phone numbers that are yours. The ER model
would say that you are an entity, and each phone number will be an entity, and the relationship between you and the

contact numbers is 'has a contact number'. Diagrams are created for designing these entities and relationships are called
entity-relationship diagrams or ER diagrams.

VII . IMPLEMENTATION
In this section, the tools and the techniques used to bring the design of the system into fruition are presented. Five
programming languages, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Jquery and PHP were used to implement the system. HTML5 and
CSS3 were used for the front end development of the system while JavaScript, Jquery and PHP were used for the
backend development.

A. Registering a New User

Figure 3: Registration page

On the registration page the user is presented with a screen and the option to either login with existing user details,
or to register a new account in order to gain access to the system. While registration user has to choose any one of the
given anyone farmer/customer.

B. Login into the System

To login into the system the user have to do two steps, in the first step user have to enter the adhar no in the input
field as shown is the below figure.

Figure 4: Login Screen I

The implementation process is very easy. At first, the farmer and trader need to register themselves with their
appropriate categories whether registering as a farmer. For both the farmer and trader a Adhar No is given to them, this
ID is also called as their license to use the portal. Before going to plant the farmer need to make an entry on the portal
with the details of what he/she going to plant, which quality, expected quantity and harvest. After that he/she needs to
update their status after the harvest in the portal. All the portal entries are visible to all the members of the portal
without any restrictions. After confirming the auction the commodities need to be transported to existing mandi’s,
where all the Mandi norms are done then the trader get their quoted commodities. Once the commodities reach the
trader the payment will be made through online to the respected farmer’s account. Through this process, farmers will
get their right-backs at their right time without any middle persons or commissioning agents in between them. It also
helps the farmers to preserve their valuable time, prevent from wastage of their commodities in storing the mandi’s for
long time. All the process is carried out through online only.

D. Algorithm
Step 1: Start.
Step 2: Registration Farmer/user.
Step3: Algorithm will check for the farmer/user records in database.
Step 4: If they are farmer then this are change status ON/OFF in admin dashboard.
Step 5: If they are customer not any operation performed.
Step 6: Farmer login and add product with all details.
Step7: After that same customer are login and buy product until they want to buy.
Step 8: Order Farmer vegetable.
Step 9: Farmer check daily orders and delivered.
Step 10: If any comment user in feedback form.
Step 11: Stop

VIII . CONCLUSION
With regard to the requirements specified, we completed the project. This system satisfies the users and it is a user–
friendly application which is easy to operate. The hypothesis was that E-Mandi would last the longest in all of the
devices tested. My results do support my hypothesis.
The proposed system in which we took the idea that will make every farmer reach the homes in there nearby locality
or cities by the medium of this web application. In this we have used some simple database. Finally, we achieve the
farmer profit to directly connected to the end user. There are some trends that indicate the transformation of agricultural
information systems in India is occurring. This application provides availability of rates in various Mandis help to give

good rates to farmers. Transportation losses reduced after e-agriculture marketing. This is important for the
transformation of agriculture in India.
