IOT-BASED SMART RATION DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM
USING BLUETOOTH V.H. Pachangane*1, Saraswati Shinde*2, Rutuja Raut*3, Shruti Shirole*4 *1,2,3,4Department Of Information Technology, JSPM’s Jayawantrao Sawant Polytechnic, Pune, Maharashtra, India. ABSTRACT A ration Distribution System means the distribution of essential commodities to a large number of people. It is done by the government. All the people have a ration card to buy various materials (sugar, rice, oil, kerosene, etc) from the ration shops. Poor people in developing countries like India meet their fundamental needs through government subsidies for basic domestic commodities. The prevailing public distribution structure in Ration shops involves labor-intensive measurement of quantity. This current system also requires transaction record maintenance. The public distribution system is one of the widely controversial officers that involves corruption and illegal smuggling of goods. All these happen because every job in the ration shop involves manual work and there are no specific high- technologies to automate the job. Our main objective here is to automate the process of distribution. The classical method involves the customer telling the person handling the ration shop outlet, the amount of the commodity he/she needs, and the type too. The person working then measures the commodity and gives it to the customer. In our version of the system, we will develop an embedded system project where we will have the customer input the amount he requires and the system made will automatically collect that amount in a container. It is a new concept that takes into account the various social, economic, and general aspects relating to technology as well as day-to-day disciplines. I. INTRODUCTION The public distribution system is one of the widely argumentative officers that involves corruption and illegal smuggling of goods. All these happen because there are no specific high-tech technologies to automate the job. Our main objective here is to automate the process of ration distribution. The traditional method involves the customer telling the person handling the ration shop outlet, the amount of the commodity he/she needs, and the type too. Previously some changes were proposed to make the public distribution system smart, initially, the user is asked to swipe the RFID card. The Raspberry pi compares the unique tag ID with the database. If the tag ID matches, the user is asked to scan the finger. Once the user identity is validated, the type of product and quantity can be selected through voice commands. If the type of product and quantity is valid, the system deals with the valid type of product. A message is sent to the user giving the details of the transaction. However, if the identification fails the system waits for valid identification. The project titled IOT-based smart public distribution system is an automatic method of distribution of commodities to confirmation card holders. Also, the details of transactions made are maintained in a database. To counter these dishonest activities this system is developed which includes the following features, • Fingerprint verification algorithm used to identify a particular user making the system secure. • The type of product and its quantity need to be selected using an android application. • Predefined information about the amount of ration to be distributed. • Automatic ration distributing technique. Hydraulic Valve: The purpose of flow control in a hydraulic system is to regulate speed. The motor operates the hydraulic valve to dispense the oil to the cardholders. Figure 2 shows the cross-sectional view of a hydraulic valve. III. FLOWCHART OF SYSTEM A flowchart of systems that are used is presented in this section.

IV. FLOWCHART OF THE SYSTEM The methodology of the system is explained in Figure 3 which shows the flow chart of IOT based smart public distribution system. Initially, the user is asked to enter the ID and password given to them in the app. The Raspberry pi compares the unique ID with the database. If the ID matches, the user can view their profile which will have details of their transactions. Then the user is asked to scan the finger. Once the user is authenticated,

If the commodity and quantity are valid, the system dispenses the valid commodity. However, if the authentication fails the system waits for valid authentication. V. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION Below we have shown the final block diagram of the resulting system. The system is shown in two views- the front view and the side view through which we can understand and visualize the entire system about how it will actually look.

VI. CONCLUSION Through this paper, we have made the goal to introduce a new technology that helps to remove the wrongs of the existing system and also has its own advantages which are useful for other applications. IOT-based Smart public distribution system is an automation system and it is recompense over the present fair price shops. It acts as an anti-corruption tool as it reduces corruption to a great area. Fingerprint authentication uses Minutiae extraction-based algorithm, which makes the system safer and error-free. It removes fake ration card holders and protects the interest of the common people to secure the country's food security. By means of its www.irjmets.com @International Research Journal of Modernization in Engineering, Technology and Science [1614] e-ISSN: 2582-5208 International Research Journal of Modernization in Engineering Technology and Science ( Peer-Reviewed, Open Access, Fully Refereed International Journal ) Volume:05/Issue:02/February-2023 Impact Factor- 6.752 www.irjmets.com performance one can reduce the corruption level. Selecting the type of product and quantity through the android app will make the system more smart and strong. It will help the country's economy to reach new heights. The automated public distribution system (PDS) is easy to implement and requires much less hard work when compared to the other system. Using this system one can avoid unprofessional behavior because there is no manual operation and also all information is stored in a database. So this system will be really helpful to the people.
