First, test your PCB by pressing your tweezers into both sides of each switch socket. *
We recommend lubing your stabilizers before installation for the best sound and feel.
Install your Cherry MX Compatible PCB-Mount Stabilizers onto the PCB.
The 7u Spacebar Stabilizer should have the wire facing North and 2u wires facing South.
* Have the Key Tester page open in the VIA program to check that each switch activates when closing the circuit with your tweezers.
The Fn key (above right arrow by default) will not show as being pressed when testing. This is expected and does not mean the PCB is defective.
If you are using Screw-In Stabilizers, do not overtighten the screws.

Standoffs help installing your switches easier.*

First, screw the standoffs onto the top of the PCB, from the bottom, with the Socket Head Screws.
[Optional] Lay the Plate Foam onto the PCB. (This will help with sound if you are not lubing your switches.
Next, line the countersunk holes in the Plate up with the Standoffs.
Fasten the Countersunk Screws through the Plate, from the top, into the Standoffs.
* Standoffs are optional and are not required for the board to function correctly, but it will help when installing your switches into the polycarbonate plate.

Insert the eight Donut* Bumpers into their slots on the inside of the Top Housing.
There is a tab to ensure they are inserted in the correct orientation.`
It is okay if they do not go all the way into the slot at this time.
The compression of the final assembly with fully seat them into place.
* Fun Fact: They are called Donut Bumpers because they kind of look like like donuts
Bauer Lite’s Hotswap PCB has a fixed layout aside from supporting full or split backspace,
therefore the keycap sizes you need to cover the board are simple.
We have labeled the size and row number of each keycap needed.
UNLABELED KEYS ARE 1.00U
The default layout is setup to suit a majority of users out of the box by including F keys, navigation,
volume, media control, and more.

If you need to change the layout to suit your specific needs, you may do so with the VIA software.

VIA allows you to change your layout on the fly without having to flash the PCB.
More complex layout configurations can be achieved with QMK.
