Purpose:
This test is for those who intended to enter Japan with the visa status of “specific skills.”
The purpose of this test is to check test taker's level of expertise, skill and Japanese language
proficiency to engage in automobile repair and maintenance as mechanics in Japan.
Eligibility Those who are under the age of 17 are not qualified to take the tests.
Test Format CBT format (Computer Based Testing)
Test Contents This test consists of 2 sections: Theory and Practical.
Number of Questions Theory test: 30 questions
Practical test: 3 tasks (9 questions in total)
Duration of test Theory test: 60 minutes
Practical test: 20 minutes
Passing grade 65% and over for Theory test and 60% and over for Practical test.
You need to pass both tests.
