ECONOMIC FUNCTIONS

1. THEY GENERATE FOREIGN EXCHANGE REVENUE

They do this through merchandising, foreign sales, selling of international and TV rights and

distribution to theatres

2. TAXATION

This is when a particular percentage is being deducted from the cast and crews salaries and

given to the government as tax

3. LISCENSING

This is allowing other companies to use your patents , trademarks , copyrights and other

intellectual properties in exchange for a particular percentage of revenue or fee

4. CREATES EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

 IT SERVES AS A FORM OF PROPAGANDA

Propaganda is information usually biased or misleading in nature , used to promote a

political cause or point of view

 IT SERVES AS A MASS MOBILIZER

A mass mobilizer involves creating awareness at local and international levels through

allies about a particular development through face to face dialogue

 IT IS USED TO PUSH A PARTICULAR POLITICAL IDEOLOGY

 IT IS A POWERFUL TOOL OF COMMUNICATION

 IT SPREADS AWARENESS ABOUT ISSUES AND IILS OF SOCIETY
