What is non-state institution?

 This is also called “ non-state actors” and it is


broadly defined as international actors who are
largely or completely autonomous from the state,
emanating from civil society, market economy or
political opportunities.
Bank
 Is a place where people deposit or save their money with
corresponding interest on a given period of time. It lends
money both to the public and private organization.
 Government borrows money from the bank to finance its
project while private organization and individuals borrow
money to finance their business and other personal needs.
Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP)
 Is the central bank and monetary authority of the
Republic of the Philippines.
 And it was established on 3 July 1993 pursuant to
the provisions of the 1987 Philippine Constitution
and the New Central Bank Act of 1993.

Corporations

Cooperative
 Or the so called coop is refers to an autonomous

 A cooperative is owned by its members.
Trade Union / Labor Union

 is an organization of workers whose main objective is to protect the


welfare of its members.
 Its purpose is to collectively negotiable employers for better
compensation benefits, safety standards in the workplace, just to
name a few.
 In the Philippines, these national federations are trade union congress
of the Philippines (TUCP) and the kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU)
 Transnational Advocacy Group are involved in social advocacy to
promote principled causes, ideas and values.
Transnational Advocacy Group

 Their goal is to give powerless a voice in the domestic and
international law-making body.
 Common social advocacies include human rights, consumer
rights, women’s right, environmental issues, and international
peace. In the Philippines, Human rights Watch is very active
in human rights and peace issues.
Development Agencies
 Are committed/dedicated to distributing aid.
 These agencies are present in developing
countries challenged by security conflict,
food shortage, climate change, financial
instability and others.
Some of the prominent developing agencies in
the Philippines are the following;


United state agency for international
development(USAID)
 Australian Agency for international
Development (AusAid)
 Japan International Cooperative Agency
(JICA)
Two categories of aid:

 Humanitarian aid (emergency relief efforts in


response to disaster )
 Development aid ( aimed at helping countries
to achieve sustainable economic growth.)
