Diversity means the uniqueness or the differences that an individual possess


that makes him/her stand out and shine from the majority. Diversity may be in a form of a
physical attribute of a person, can be in culture, religion, beliefs, and any other forms.
Diversity completes a person.

Where can you attribute the following?

a. Perception of time during the programs? Why?

Answer: Diversity of culture is the major influence on the perception of a


person in time, why? We all know that each culture has different point of
view about the different facet of our lives and that includes the time, as an
example, other culture may value their time as gold, they tend to have a
systematic and organized usage of time which eventually reflects on how they
attend in a certain program and on the other hand, others may be the
opposite of it.

b. Girls doing household chores while boys perform carpentry? Why?


Answer: Gender tend to have a stereotyped, it identifies the role identity of a
person, I observed and experience that a boy tends to have all the laborious
and hard works such as carpentry, weightlifting and others and girls are just
limited to household chores. Yet it is just a stereotype, and a person is able
and capable to do such things he/she wanted to.

c. Choice of white collar, high paying jobs? Why?


Answer: the socio-economic status, there is a term white collar which means
those high paying jobs, jobs that wears executive attires while blue collar
means any worker who engages in hard manual labor, such as construction,
mining, or maintenance.

1. How important is the knowledge of the sources of learner’s diversity can help you as
future teachers in handling your class?

Answer: Diversity is inevitable, it is present everywhere and every time. And as an


educator it is your sole responsibility to know, assess and evaluate the diversity present
to your learners, to have an adequate knowledge about it, you can attain to reach the
maximum potential you can do, you are able to know what the needs of your students
are and able to have plan and actions that is appropriate that leads to effective and
efficient teaching and learning to students.

2. What are the significant contributions of the following mandates and policies to the study
of learners with diversity?

Answer: it ensures that learners adverse of diversity will have the adequate and right
rights and opportunities that every individual deserve. It promotes better and efficient
way of learning amid the presence of diversity, fulfills the gaps that diversity put in, and
address the dilemma and protects each learner.

3. How do school respond to the challenges of diversity?

Answer: In a typical classroom set up, diversity is present but there is the curriculum
that guides the educators on how to address it. And on the other hand, diversity
specially with our fellow that has disabilities and faced handicaps, the school or the
educators assess on how to address the different needs of the students to ensure that
they can attain knowledge and skills that lessen the hardship they feel.

4. If you are now a Teacher, how will you manage Diversity in the Classroom?

Answer: I believe that as a teacher I possess a skill that enables me teach my students
well amid of diversity, yet the question how will I manage? First things first, assess how
my students diverse from each other what are the factors that affect it, just for example
one of my students is from other religion what can I do to respect and help my students
respect them too. Do you still dance manage things professionally dad enables you to
respect all the different factors that affect be a classroom setup, be open do the diversity
and those changes as well as the factors that affect the learning as well as coping
mechanism of each student.
