sharpness

Errors :
Superimposition of the
cervical spine.
Maxillary
Pterygomaxillary sinus
Hard
Condyle fissure
palate Landmarks: Soft palate
Pathological findings:

Description:
There is a generalized true
multilocular well defined non
corticated radiolucency with
soap bubble appearance,
Bilateral expansion of the
mandible, teeth crypts are
visualized.

Differential diagnosis :
1: Ameloblastoma
2: Odontogenic myxoma
3: Cherubism
Final Diagnosis:
This multilocular radiolucency is not
Ameloblastoma because :
Teeth crypts are visualized,
radiolucency is generalized and non
corticated.

This multilocular radiolucency is not

Odontogenic Myxoma because :
Soap bubble appearance, no
straight septum.

Final diagnosis :
Cherubism, because of the teeth
crypts and the overall generalized
radiolucency
Radiograph 2
Image quality and
errors:
Density: optimal
Contrast: optimal
Sharpness: low

Errors:
Failure to remove
appliances
Patient tongue didn’t touch
the roof of the mouth
Pterygomaxillary Nasal

Pathological findings:

Description:
there is a well defined
multilocular radiolucency on the
left mandible with tennis racket
appearance (straight septum)
and visualized tooth
displacement.

Differential diagnosis :
1- Odontogenic Myxoma
2- Ameloblastoma
Final Diagnosis:

The final diagnosis is :

Odontogenic Myxoma,
Because of the straight
septae visualized and the
tooth displacement.
