Some people I know are full of quotations, they have remembered hundreds of quotes from
Shakespeare and famous poet on politition=> politicians. They use them and meet on conversation=>
mid-conversation. i think that is impressive. I don’t think I can list => I could tell you 5 quotations, I
started=> studied Shakespeare at school but I cant remember a single quote, “to be or not to be,
that’s the question“was that Shakespeare. I know theres another famous froms Romeo and Juliet
about the name of the rose. Sometimes I see inspirational quotation on websites, I like these, they
make you think some of them are really clever. I normally see the quotation in the end of people’s
email=> some of them are really clever. Other places I see quotations are at the end of people e-mail.
Some of these aren’t so clever
Hi everyone. Thanks for coming to this short presentation on our new product design. As you know,
we have already developed our adventure shampoo to make it more modern and appealing. And we
have renamed it ‘Adventure Tech’. Our market research established the target as men in the 18-40s
range who like to be outdoors and also like technical gadgets, such as smart watches, drones and
things like that. We needed to create a bottle which appeals to that market
So today I am happy to unveil our new bottle design. As you can see, its designed to look like a black
metal drinking flask, with some digital features printed on it.
I would like to talk you through the following three points: the key features, sizing and our timeline
for production.
Firstly, you’ll notice it has an ergonomic design. That means it fits smoothly into your hand and can
be easily opened and squeezed using one hand. And, it looks like a flask you might use when hiking
outdoors. The imitation digital displays are designed to remind the user of other tech devices they
may have, such as a smartwatch or smart displays in their home.
I would now like to tell you about the sizes. It comes in two sizes: the regular size and a small travel
size. The travel size is the same type if design- a flask, also with imitation digital displays on the
bottle. We were thinking of starting with one and following with the travel-size in a few months, but
we’ve worked hard and both are ready now.
Finally, I’m going to talk to you about our timeline for production. You’re probably heard that we
have launching in two months. In preparation for that, we have starting the marketing campaign next
month. You can see the complete overview of all phases in this Gantt chart.
In summary, the bottle’s been designed for men who like adventure and technology, and it comes in
two sizes. The marketing campaign is staring next month and we are launching the product in two
months
Ok so any questions? Feel free to also email me for further information in case we run out of time.
The first item in the news today is the recent elections that took place across he country. This was a
crucial vote, which may see a dramatic change in how the country develops over the coming years.
Overall, a 54.5 percent voter turnout was registered. This represents an increase of 11 percent over
the previous election and six percent above the previous election and six percent above the average
for the past 50 years. There has also been a slight change in demographics, with an increase in youth
turnout in the 18 to 24 to 29 years old blankets. Despite this increase, young people are still less
likely to vote than older people; 84 percent of voters in the 70 plus age group came to the polling
stations.
Moving on, the global digital powerhouse ONK today posted quarterly results which were above
forecast. Back in March, Tim Bolling, CEO, issued a profit warning over fears that there would be
looses following the recall of their leading product, the 40d device. In fact, the company posted
quarterly revenue of US$14.8 billion which represents an increase of 11 percent from the same
quarter year ago. They also announced that they had sold 21 million 40d devices over the quarter.
The company has provided the information that with this level of revenue, there will be a gross
margin of 34 to 35 percent, ultimately leading to as US$1.20 per share cash dividend awarded to
shareholders.
And in our final news item we ask, will we soon be saying goodbye to coins and notes forever? The
nationwide trend of using cashless payment options is increasing. There are a number of using
cashless payment options is increasing. There are a number of reasons for this development. A key
reason for this is a growing interest in reducing the number of items people need to leave their
homes with. As almost everyone carries a smartphone with them, and many people also have
smartwatches, the ability to pay or things using one of these two technologies is particularly
appealing. More and more retailers are accepting cashless payments and in some cases they’ve
stopped accepting cash altogether
I loved babysitting when I was younger. It was a really easy way to make money. All I had to do was sit
in my neighbour’s house and look after the kids. That was the easy bit, because the kids were usually
asleep in bed. The parents would give me a lot of money for watching DVDs and eating snacks. When
I was even younger, I liked it when my babysitter came round. She would always play games with us
and let us stay up late. She would send us to bed just before my parents came home. I know in some
countries, babysitting isn’t so common. It isn’t part of the culture. I suppose that’s not such a bad
thing. I read a lot in the papers nowadays about babysitters hitting the children because they don’t
sleep. That’s really bad.
The Beatles have released the last song they recorded. The song is titled "Now and Then". It was
written by John Lennon in 1977. He sang it at the piano and recorded it in 1979 at his home. The
other Beatles added to the track over the years. Recording engineers used AI technology to bring the
song to life, resulting in a sound like the four Beatles recorded it together in a studio. The song has
been released as a double-A side single. The flip side of the record is a new mix of the band's first
single "Love Me Do". This was first released in 1962. "Now and Then" will also be the final track on a
new edition of the Beatles' legendary greatest hits "blue" album. This is a collection of their classics
from 1967-1970.
Beatles member Paul McCartney spoke to reporters about the new song. He said: "It's quite
emotional. And we all play on it. It's a genuine Beatles recording." He spoke about his excitement at
being able to release a new song, saying: "In 2023, to still be working on Beatles music, and to
release a new song the public haven't heard, I think it's an exciting thing." McCartney was also
excited about hearing John Lennon's voice. He said it was "crystal clear". Lennon was shot dead by a
fan outside his New York home in 1980. Beatles drummer Ringo Starr said recording the song was,
"the closest we'll ever come to having [John Lennon] back in the room". He said it was, "very
emotional for all of us".
Today I'm going to talk about my research on learner persistence => persistence. Let me first
introduce why I wanted to carry out such research. As a university teacher, I found learners’
responses to certain things vary a lot. For example, some students may completely give up their
degree studies because of a temporary illness, while others may overcome all kinds of difficulties and
try their best to continue their studies. The latter are the students with learner persistence, and this
is the group that I'm particularly interested in. To do the research, first I selected my undergraduate
students as the research sample with a total of 200 people. All the students selected were seniors
and they had already stayed in the course very well. Although the sample was drawn from a range of
ages, there were deliberately a large number of mature students. And there was one thing in
common: all of those students were living at home in the local region. I wanted to maintain this
element of consistency, so I didn't include those coming from outside this area. Then I designed a
questionnaire that aimed to find out what their concerns had been, when they began the course and
then what had made them stick at the three years studies in university. Findings from the first section
pointed out that there were different concerns when they started their university studies. For
example, …
Women across Iceland joined their prime minister in going on strike on Tuesday. The action was part
of a campaign for greater gender equality in the country. Prime minister Katrin Jakobsdottir told
reporters why she took part in the "Women's Day Off". She said: "As you know, we have not yet
reached our goals of full gender equality and we are still tackling the gender-based wage gap, which
is unacceptable in 2023." A spokeswoman for the day off said: "On 24 October, all women in Iceland
were encouraged to stop work, both paid and unpaid. For the whole day, women (and non-binary
people) went on strike, to demonstrate the importance of their contribution to society."
Yesterday was the seventh time that women in Iceland have gone on strike. It was the first such
action in nearly 50 years. The last strike was in 1975, when 90 per cent of women did not go to work
and did not do housework. The following year, Iceland passed an equal pay law. In 1980, Iceland
became the first country in Europe to elect a woman as head of state. According to the World
Economic Forum, Iceland has had the smallest gender gap of any country for 14 years in a row.
Despite this, Ms Jakobsdottir, said there is still a long way to go. She wants women's pay to be equal
to men's pay. She also wants a reduction in gender-based violence. Ms Jakobsdottir said this was a
"priority" for her government to tackle.
Researchers have found that the Chinese martial art of tai chi could slow down the progression of
Parkinson's disease by years. Tai chi, with its slow, meditative and deliberate movements, is known to
benefit physical and mental well-being. Doctors from the Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of
Medicine conducted a five-year study on people with Parkinson's. The researchers discovered that
the condition progressed at a slower rate in those who practiced tai chi. They observed fewer falls,
and less dizziness and back pain in the tai chi practitioners. The researchers also noted that the
cognitive function of the test participants who regularly practiced tai chi deteriorated more slowly.
Parkinson's disease is a brain disorder that affects the nerves and muscles. It progressively causes
unintended or uncontrollable movements, such as shaking, stiffness, and difficulty with balance and
coordination. People with Parkinson's may eventually have difficulties walking and talking. One of the
most famous people with Parkinson's was the heavyweight boxing champion Muhammad Ali. The
researchers suggest that doing tai chi could keep symptoms of Parkinson's at bay for years. They said:
"The long-term beneficial effect of tai chi on Parkinson's could prolong the time without disability,
leading to a higher quality of life, a lower burden for caregivers and a reduction in drug use."
A children's charity has reported that more than a million children in the UK live in 'Bed poverty'. This
means they have no bed of their own to sleep in. They either sleep on the floor or share a bed with
parents or siblings. The charity, Barnardo's, said bed poverty is a result of people becoming poorer.
The cost of living has greatly increased in the UK. Rising food prices and higher gas and electricity
bills mean people on low incomes cannot afford basic items. Barnardo's said for…, a bed is now a
"luxury" item. It said around 700,000 children are sharing beds, while 440,000 children sleep on
the…. This makes children tired, so it is difficult for them to concentrate at school.
Lynn Perry, the CEO of Barnardo's, said bed poverty was just one sign that many people in Britain are
struggling. She said: "Bed poverty is just one aspect of child poverty." She added that it highlights the
painful challenges that many parents face. She said parents do not have enough money "to afford
the essentials needed to raise happy and healthy children". She said: "Families in crisis are having to
prioritise essentials such as food, heating and electricity over things like replacing mouldy bedding or
fixing a rotten or broken bed." Ms Perry warned that bed poverty is affecting children's mental
health. She called on the government to take "urgent action to address these deep-rooted issues".
Palm oil is used in many things we eat and use every day. It is in food, in beauty products, and in
biofuel. However, producing palm oil leads to environmental damage because of deforestation. A
team of researchers in Scotland believe they have found an alternative to palm oil. Scientists from
Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh have created a wholly plant-based oil that is better for the
environment and for our health. The university's new PALM-ALT product is 70 per cent better for the
environment. This is because it is more sustainable and leads to less biodiversity loss. It is also
healthier than palm oil, with 80 per cent less saturated fat and 30 per cent fewer calories.
The researchers believe their work could change how things are made. Around half of all the food
and cosmetics we currently buy contain palm oil. The use of palm oil is growing, so more trees have
to be cut down in tropical countries. PALM-ALT is made from a by-product from the linseed flower
and rapeseed oil. Researcher Catriona Liddle spoke to the BBC about PALM-ALT. She called it the……
=> "holy grail" to replace palm oil. She found it does the same things palm oil does. She said: "We've
put it through some special sensory testing to see if a panel can tell the difference between our
product and traditional palm [oil], and they can't." She is now hoping businesses will start using it
instead of regular palm oil.
Government critics were dumbfounded and dismayed at the scrapping of the HS2 rail link. The line
was announced with great fanfare by the Conservative government in 2012. HS2 was a major
component in efforts to "level up" the north. Abandoning the link is seen as Mr Sunak's latest U-turn
on a policy initiative. Just a year ago, he was committed to the project. Many people say it shows the
government's disregard for the north of England. They lament railway lines in the north being
"Victorian" – over a century old. The High Speed Rail Group said: "Every other major European
country has managed to build a high-speed rail network, recognizing it's a vital part of a modern
society and economy."
Lecture abt the cube houses, iconic architectural complex in Rotterdam. its unique design features.
Each Cube house has a space of 100sq meters and divided into three floors, very…….to see. tilted
residences constructed on three concrete pillars. whole construction made of 38 cube units,
connected with 2 super sized cubes. One larger cubes developed as architecture school and another
building built between it and warehouse. Standing at three floors tall. The ground floor is the
entrance. When you enter a cube house, the first thing to get used to is that all the walls are slanted.
You must take a narrow staircase to reach the lower floor. This level and the top level are both
triangle shaped. The lower level contains an open kitchen and a living room. The medium level house
is a bathroom and two bedrooms, while the top level provides a great view. Since the apex of the
room is a three sided pyramid with windows all around. In some cases, the top floor is used as a
small rooftop garden, and as you enter the top half of the structure, your initial inclination well be to
mind your head. Now that you know the history and design features behind these odd looking
houses, you might be thinking about how it is to live in them……. In 2009, the Rotterdam based
personal architecture BNA converted one of the larger cubes for one of the leading stock hostel
chains in the Netherlands. Today, the hostel invite everyone to experience what it s like to live in a
cube house and enjoy a stunning panoramic………. of the surrounding area. What attracts guests
most is its ideal location, with a major railway station within a five minute walk. The accommodation
is also offered at a fair price, which appeals to visitors both from home and abroad.
The researchers believe their work could change how things are made. Around half of all the food
and cosmetics we currently buy contain palm oil. The use of palm oil is growing, so more trees have
to be cut down in tropical countries. PALM-ALT is made from a by-product from the linseed flower

An American president once said the only thing you have to fear is fear itself. Can’t remember which
President, but never mind. I think that’s an interesting quote. It’s so true, most of the time. We all
spend a lot of time worried or afraid that something bad will happen, and then nothing happens. It is
the fear that frightens us, not the thing that might or might not happen. And then there are phobias.
Millions of people are afraid of something that the rest of the world thinks is quite normal. How can
you be afraid of things like peanut butter? There’s actually a fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof
of your mouth. Amazing. Fear is sometimes good. It makes us alert and can keep us safe in a
dangerous situation.
