Scene 01: [School]
Everyone’s clapping and cheering. No other than, Ms. Sophia Mendoza. An outstanding,
hardworking and responsible student in Mindanao State University. She won first place at the Science Fair
Everyone congratulate her especially the 3 supporting teachers, Mr. Gomez, Ms. De Vera and Mr.
Romero.
Sir Gomez: *feeling happy and excited Congratulations Ms. Mendoza! We are so proud of you.
Ma’am De Vera: *can’t contain the happiness, jumping in glee We are lucky to have you Ms. Mendoza.
I’m happy to be your coach and you deserve to win this competition. Job well done. I’m so proud of you
darling. [tight hug]
Sir Romero: *smiling Congratulations Ms. Mendoza.
Sophia: *so much happiness and excitement is radiating through her face and action Thank you so

TRANSITION: THE CELEBRATION AT THE BEACH

Scene 02: [Beach]
Sophia celebrating her win in the beach with her family, classmates and her boyfriend. After that,
Sophia and her boyfriend Carl is having a beach walk while holding hands and having also a conversation.
Friend 1 Britney: Congrats Sof! New Scientist yarn?!
Mama Maris: Future scientist talaga yan. Tamo, sa susunod gagawan ka niyan ng robot boyfriend para may
jowa ka naman.
*Tumawa ang lahat.
Friend 1 Britney: Si tita nangrerealtalk. Opo ako na po walang boyfriend. *Acting like he/she upset while
laughing. Tumawa ulit ang lahat.
*Mother’s Phone is ringing. She answers the phone call excitedly.
Mama Rita: Hon! Nandito na ang ating future scientist! *Pinakita si Sophia sa screen.
Sophia: Hi pa! *Giggling
Papa David: Anak, congrats! Ang galing galing naman ng anak ko! Nagmana ka talaga sakin. *Looks so
proud
Mama Rita: *ni insert kadali “Sa akin yan nagmana no”.
*Tumawa ang lahat
Friend 2 Amber: Si tita talaga ayaw patalo kahit kay tito naman talaga nagmana sa katalinuhan ni Sophia.
Mama Rita: Huy amber ha, ako ang nandito, sakin ka kumampi.
Friend 2 Amber: HAHAHA opo na tita. Ikaw na po matalino, sayo na po nagmana.
*They all giggled
Sophia: *happy hearing the exchange conversation from her mom and her friend. “Papa, pano ba yan, kay
mama daw ako nagmana.”
Papa David: HAHAHA oo nak, sa kanya talaga!
At tumawa silang lahat.

Fast forward

After that, Sophia and her boyfriend Carl is having a beach walk while holding hands and having
also a conversation.
Carl: Congratulations love!
Sophia: Thank You, love!
[Carl and Sophia having an eye contact and do a tight hug. A kiss sa sintido]

Scene 03: [House - Sophia’s Bedroom]

Cast: Margarrett as Sophia
Time/Duration: 6:00 am - 6:30 am
(Kringggggg…..Kringgg….Kringggggg…..) Alarm Clock is ringing.
Sophia stops the alarm clock and she woke up. A feeling of nausea suddenly came over her. And she
proceeds to the comfort room to vomit. She looks into the mirror and realization hits her. She thinks that she
is pregnant.
Sophia: [looks worried]

Scene 04: [Mercury Drug Store]

Sophia goes to the pharmacy to buy a pregnancy test.

Scene 05: [House – Sophia’s Bedroom]

Cast: Margarrett as Sophia
Time/Duration: 6:45 am – 7:10 am
Sophia went to the bathroom and tried the pregnancy test. And then she came out, holding the PT
with slightly shaking hands, waited at the bedside and after a couple of minutes, the result came positive.
Her eyes are widened and nanghina. Then she accidentally hit the glass of water on the bedside table,
nahulog, water spilled everywhere. Before she could clean the mess, her phone beeped. She checked it only
to see that their prof will meet them at 8:00am.
[Phone: Good day students! We will meet today at exactly 8:00 am. See You. – Mr. Gomez]

Scene 06: [School]

Sophia immediately go to school. While she is walking on the pathway, there’s a phone ringing.
[Bzzzz……Bzzzzzzzzzzzz………..] – Phone ringing
Sophia confused and wondering why her mother calling her during school time. She answered the call
and….
Sophia: Hello? Ma??? Napatawag ka ma. Is there something wrong?
Mama Maris: Nakkkkk….[sobbing]
Sophia: Maaaa… Ba’t ka umiiiyak? Ma naman eh. [starting to worry about her mother]
Mama Maris: Ang papa mooo…
Sophia: Anong nangyari ni papa? Napano siya ma??? Puntahan kita diyan ma. Hintayin mo ko.

NOTE: SCENE 7, CASUAL SAD, T-SHIRT AND PANTS OR TROUSER. IN HERE, KABALO NA

Scene 07: [Sophia’s House, In the Sala]

Cast: Margarrett as Sophia and Maricar as Mama Maris
Time/Duration: 9:30 am - 10:15 am
Sophia went to her mother. She hugs her and gently tap her back. Both of them are crying. Sophia
suddenly asks her mother.
Sophia: Anong nangyari kay papa?
Mama Maris: *crying so hard* Naaksidente ang papa mo nak. Tumawag ang employer niya, na hit and
run si papa mo nak, hindi naka survive si papa mo. Hindi ko alam anong gagawin anak. Hindi ko kayang
mawala ang papa mo. [crying]
Sophia was too stunned to speak because of the heartbreaking news; she started crying too. A few
seconds later, out of crying too much, Mama Maris, her mother, clutched her chest and started breathing
heavily and collapsed.
Sophia: *she panicked* MA..MAAAA… gumising ka ma…. mama… TULONG!!!!!
WIWOWIWOWIWOWIWOWIWOWIWO……. [Ambulance noise]
The ambulance came and Mama Maris take to the hospital.

Scene 08: [Hospital]

Mama Maris is lying on the bed while Sophia is sitting at the bedside. Sophia take the hands of
Mama Maris, touching it. After that, a nurse goes to the room of Mrs. Mendoza. The nurse gives the
medicine of Mrs. Maris Mendoza and then she noticed that there is no water on the table. So the nurse asks
the significant other.
Nurse: Hello Ms.?
Sophia: Sophia po.
Nurse: Okay, Hello Ms. Sophia. Pwede ka bang bumili nang tubig para sa mama mo para mapainom na
natin siya ng gamot? Ako nang bahalang magbantay sa mama mo. Balik ka kaagad Ms. Sophia.
Sophia: Sige po nurse, maraming salamat.
Sophia goes out to the room. While she is walking on the pathway, she noticed and glimpsed the face
of her boyfriend. She followed him. And then Sophia’s eyes are widened. She put her right hand on her
mouth and shocked. She saw her boyfriend together with his ex-girlfriend to the nurse station. She saw the
girl’s stomach. She’s pregnant.
Sophia: *shaking because of shock and anger
Carl: Tayo na babe pwedi na tayong umuwi po.
Ex-GF Janice: Okay na ba ang lahat? Anong sabi ng doctor?
Carl: Okay na babe. Balik nalang daw tayo ulit next week sabi ni doc. *holds Janice’s hand to support
her while they walk away
Carl and Janice wants to go home and leave the hospital.

Scene 09: [Mercury Drug Store]

Sophia goes to the pharmacy and buy a bottle of water.

Scene 10: [Hospital]

Sophia goes to the room of her mother. She gives a bottle of water to Mama Maris and her mother
started to drink it with her pharmaceutical medicines. Then, Sophia goes to the bathroom and looks to the
mirror. She is crying. Then, Flashback appears on the mirror, flashback of her father’s death, her pregnancy,
what she saw on the nurses’ station and her mother’s situation.

NOTE: SCENE 11, NAKAMPAMBAHAY LANG.

Scene 11: [House – Sophia’s Residence]

Cast: Margarrett as Sophia and Maricar as Mama Maris
Time/Duration: 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm
Mama Maris recovered from her illness however, her condition in not that better. She is still
mourning from her husband’s death. Mama Maris was in their kitchen, sitting on a wheelchair, looking at
nothingness.
Sophia: *in a concerned voice* Ma, kain na ma.
Sophia tried to feed her but her mother went ballistic, dodging the food. Sophia trying to give her and
swept all the food on the table unto the floor while shouting.
Sophia: *crying concernly* Ma, tama na pls, tama na po. *try hugging her mother*
Mama Maris: *slightly calmed, hugged her daughter’s back* Si papa mo nak, ang asawa ko. Kailangan
ko si papa mo, anak. *cries*
Sophia: *still trying to calm her mom as well as herself* Ma, tama na po. Wala na po si papa, ma.
*They cried and cried and cried.

NOTE: SCENE 12 & SCENE 13 PART 1, DAPAT CASUAL LANG PWEDE TOP AND PANTS OR

Scene 12: [Sophia’s room “The Confrontation”]

Cast: Margarrett as Sophia and Kurt as Carl
Time/Duration: 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm
They are in Sophia’s room, standing in front of one another. *the atmosphere is heavy between
them
Sophia: [deep sigh] Buntis ako. *dead silence*
Carl: Ipalaglag mo yan.
Sophia: *on the verge of crying* Bakit? Bakit gusto mong ipalaglag? Kasi nabuntis mo ang ex mo?
Carl: *unbothered* I’m sorry. Di ko kayang panagutan ang dalawang bata.
Sophia: Ang gago gago mo! [sabay sampal]
Carl: *touch the part of his cheeks where Sophia slapped. Still unbothered and looked shameless*
Sorry, ipalaglag mo yan.
Then Carl walkout. Sophia cried and sits on her bed until she passed out.

Scene 13 Part 1: [House – Sophia’s Bedroom]

Cast: Margarrett as Sophia
Time/Duration: 7:25 am – 8:00 am
Morning came.. Bzzzz….. Bzzzzzzz.. [phone vibrating]
Classmate Joy: Good morning Sophia. Pinatatawag ka ni Sir Gomez sa school.
Sophia: Bakit raw joy?
Classmate Joy: Tungkol raw sa mga pending activities, projects and grades mo. Kailangan ka raw kausapin.
Sophia: Sige Joy, salamat.
Classmate Joy: Walang Anuman, Sophia… Sige bye.

TRANSITION

Scene 13 Part 2: [House – Sophia’s Residence, In the Sala]

Cast: Margarrett as Sophia
Time/Duration: 8:15 am – 8:45 am
 Before Sophia leaves their house, she bid her mother goodbye.
Sophia: *walking towards direction of her mom* Hello po auntie Rita. Kayo napo muna bahala kay
mama ha.
Auntie Rita: *holding Mama Maris’s wheelchair* Sige Sophia, ako nang bahala sa mama mo. Mag-ingat
ka.
Sophia: Maraming Salamat po auntie. Sige po. *kiss her mom sa sintido while side hugging her

Scene 14: [School]

Sophia is now in school. She shows a gloomy countenance. She is back like normal school days. She
didn’t realize that she is not active anymore in school. Her grades are decreasing. All her teachers are
worried.
Sir Gomez: How are you Ms. Mendoza?
Sophia: I’m okay po sir. [denial]
Sir Gomez: How’s your thesis work? there is no update. We underrated that you lost your father but you
have so many pending activities and projects that’s been due few weeks ago.
*Another teacher enters
Sir Villaruel: Sophia, you’re not coming to my class anymore. I know you’re brilliant but anak, your grades
are failing.
*Sophia felt nausea.
Sir Villaruel: Are you okay Sophia?
*The surroundings became a blur.
Sophia is hearing noises.
*Buntis ang ex ni Carl. Hiwalay na sila ni Carl. Nababaliw na ang mama ni Sophia. Your grades are failing.

Scene 15: [Beach/House]

TRANSITION. Sophia is now standing on a clif, the sea is in front of her. She shouted loudly then nahulog
sa cliff, diretso sa tubig dagat and suddenly, Sophia wakes up and stop the alarm. She is sweating and
realized that it was all a dream. Suddenly, her mother called her.
Mama Maris: Anak, breakfast na.
Then Sophia looks at the side of the door and the clock. She lay down again, looked at the ceiling
and breathe deeply.

THE END…..
