Q1:

Alana: Hi, my name is Alana. During the school holiday, my family and I went to Pulau
Langkawi for a vacation. The view was amazing, and we ate many delicious foods too

Q2:

P1: Excuse me, may I know where is the mosque?

P2: oh, yes! You walk down this street, turn right and go straight ahead. The mosque is on
your right, infront of the supermarket.
P1: Thank you

Q3:

Lili: Hello, Rina! What are you doing here?

Rina: Hello, Lili! I’m getting few stuff for myself and my sister.
Lili: What did you buy?
Rina: I am buying a notebook and some erasers.
Lili: Cool!

Q4:

Alana: Lili, are you joining us tomorrow morning?

Lili: awh, Im sorry. Too bad I can’t join you guys. I have dancing class at 10:30
Alana: It is fine. Next time then.

Q5:

Alina: Good morning, Liana! How was your weekend?

Liana: Good morning, Alina. It was great. Me and my friends went for ice skating at the
nearest mall. It was my first time ice skating and it was great!
Alina: That’s great!

PART 2

Julia: Hello, Mimi. How are you?

Mimi: I’m good! What’s up?
Julia: I heard that you went to a cooking class during the school holiday. What did you learn
there?
Mimi: Ohh.. we learnt to make mushroom soup, garlic bread and mango lassi. It was very fun
and we got to taste the food too!
Julia: That’s nice! I’m about to make some mushroom soup for dinner. Can you share the
recipe with me?
Mimi: I’m very happy to share the recipe with you! Alright, first, you’ll have to melt two
tablespoon of the butter in a large pot, and then you add some garlic and shallots, and stir fry
for a minute.
Julia: Sounds easy.. and what did you do next?
Mimi: Next, you’ll add some mushroom and cook it for about three minutes. After the
mushroom, has cooked, you set the mushroom aside. After three minutes, sprinkle some flour
and whisk it quickly until it turn into a paste. Make sure you whisk out the clumps between
each addition of the floor.
Julia: alright.. and what’s next?
Mimi: and then you add chicken stock a little at a time and just let it simmer well for 3
minutes. After that, you add the mushroom back to the pot and continue to simmer for
another two minutes. Don’t forget to season the soup with salt and pepper! Lastly, garnish
with some mushrooms and parsley
Julia: That’s nice! Now I can make my own mushroom soup! Thank you, Mimi!

PART 3

Last weekend, SMK Seri Melaka has organised a school bazaar. It was attended by school
students and people around the neighbourhood. The school bazaar started at 8:00 am and
ended at 6 pm. The school bazaar was organised to raise money for the renovation for Seri
Melaka Primary School building that was caught on fire last month. The money raised from
the bazaar will be donated to the Seri Melaka Primary School. There were many foods sold
by the students and the teachers. English society has sold the most popular food of the year,
Ice cream bomb was the first to sold out and raised the highest donation, which is RM5500.
The second highest is from Science and Mathematics society with the total selling cost was
RM1200. The money raised during the school bazaar was donated in a form of cheque.

PART 4

Juliet: Hi, Liana. Have you decided what to buy for Ahmad’s birthday?
Liana: Hi, Juliet. I haven’t thought of it yet. Have you decided?
Juliet: Yea, I was thinking if I can get the new book from Peter Love. I heard that he will be
having a book launch event of his new book titled “I Wish I was a Bird” this Saturday.
Liana: That’s a great idea! Ahmad is a fan of Peter love. He would be so happy to receive it.
Juliet: What about you come along? We can share the money and buy the book for him.
Liana: That’s a great idea since I’m not sure of what to buy for him.
Juliet: If that’s the case, let’s meet at MKS mall this Saturday and we go to the MPS
Bookstore together.
Liana: Sure! How much do I have to bring?
Juliet: I will bring RM50.
Liana: Sure, I will bring RM50 too. So it makes it RM100. If we have extra money, we can
buy him something else too.
Juliet: Good idea, Liana. I’ll see you this Saturday.
