Q3: Given that CMRR is 100 dB, input common mode voltage is 15 volts,
differential voltage gain is 5000. Calculate output common mode voltage?

𝐶𝑀𝑅𝑅 = 100𝑑𝐵
𝐶𝑀𝑅𝑅 (𝑑𝐵) = 20 𝑙𝑜𝑔(𝐶𝑀𝑅𝑅 )
100 𝑑𝐵 = 20 𝑙𝑜𝑔 (𝐶𝑀𝑅𝑅)
∴CMRR=100000
𝐴𝑑
∵CMRR=
𝐴𝑐
𝐴d 5000
∴𝐴𝐶 = 𝐶𝑀𝑅𝑅 = 100000 = 0.05
𝑜𝑢𝑡𝑝𝑢𝑡 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑚𝑜𝑛 𝑚𝑜𝑑𝑒
𝐴𝑐 =
𝑖𝑛𝑝𝑢𝑡 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑚𝑜𝑛 𝑚𝑜𝑑𝑒
𝑜𝑢𝑡𝑝𝑢𝑡 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑚𝑜𝑛 𝑚𝑜𝑑𝑒 = 𝐴𝑐 × 𝑖𝑛𝑝𝑢𝑡 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑚𝑜𝑛 = 0.05 × 15 = 0.75
∵𝐴𝐶 = 𝑖𝑛𝑝𝑢𝑡 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑚𝑜𝑛 𝑚𝑜𝑑𝑒 − 𝑜𝑢𝑡𝑝𝑢𝑡 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑚𝑜𝑛 𝑚𝑜𝑑𝑒
∴ output common mode =15-0.05=14.95 volt
