For the circuit shown in Figure, use the given transistor
characteristic curves to answer the following:
a) Calculate the dc input power, power dissipated by the
transistor, ac power delivered to the load, and the
amplifier efficiency for a dc base current of 6 mA
and a peak base current swing of 4 mA.
b) Calculate the maximum output power and maximum
amplifier efficiency for a dc base current of 6 mA.
c) Repeat part (a) for a dc base current of 2 mA and a
peak base current swing of 4 mA.
d) What is the class of the amplifier in part
(a) and (c)?
e) Calculate the total harmonic distortion of
the output signal of part (c) if the output
signal having a dc component of 3.18 V,
a fundamental harmonic of 2.5 V, a third
harmonic of 0.8 V, and a fifth harmonic
of 0.13 V.

For the ADC Ladder network shown in Figure, answer the following:
a) Calculate the voltage resolution of the ADC.
b) Calculate the digital output and plot
the ladder network output voltage
for an analog input of 4V.
c) Calculate the conversion time for
the input of part (b) and the ADC
maximum conversion time.

For the FET amplifier shown in Figure:
a) What is the feedback connection type?
b) Plot the block diagram of feedback circuit and
define A, β, and Af in terms of the circuit input
and output voltages and currents.
c) Calculate the voltage gain with and without
feedback.
d) Modify the amplifier circuit to design a 10 kHz
phase-shift oscillator. Plot the oscillator circuit

b) Plot the voltage waveform at nodes 1 and 2.
c) Calculate the minimum input voltage to maintain regulation for a dc load
current of 200 mA.
d) Calculate the maximum load current at which regulation is maintained for 𝑉𝑚 =
15𝑉.
