(a) For the voltage-divider configuration shown in the Figure,
determine the dc bias voltage VCE and the current Ic. Use
VBE=0.7V. (3)

(b) For the voltage-divider bias configuration shown in the


following Figure, perform an AC analysis using re equivalent
model to determine:

i. input impedance (Zi),
ii. output impedance (Zo) at (ro=∞)
iii. Voltage gain (Av) at (ro=∞)
iv. Current gain (Ai) at (ro=∞) (5)

(a) Perform DC analysis on the network shown below, to calculate:
(i) , (ii) (iii) VDS (3)

(b) Differentiate between D-MOSFET and E-MOSFET on the


basis of construction and operation. (3)

(c) Draw and explain the working of CMOS Inverter. (2)

(a) For the following Zener regulator circuit, determine the
minimum and maximum values of load resistor RL that would
maintain the regulated voltage at 10V. (3)

(b) A clipper circuit shown below is given a symmetrical


sinusoidal input of 14 Vp-p. The diodes used in the circuit are
ideal diodes. If VB1 = 4 V, and VB2 = - 6 V. Draw the output
waveform. (3)

(c) Design a clamper to perform the function indicated below.

(a) Calculate the frequency of oscillation (in KHz) of the IC-555
timer circuit.(Given: RA=2.2KΩ, RB=4.7KΩ and C=0.055 F)

(b) Explain the working of Monostable operation of IC-555 Timer
with the internal circuit diagram. Also deduce the relationship for
the Time period of the output waveform. (4)
(c) Define Input offset voltage and CMRR of an op-amp. (2)

(a) Draw the circuit of class A series-fed amplifier. Calculate the
output power and efficiency of this amplifier for an input voltage
that results in based current of 10mA peak. (Given: Vcc=20V,
RB=1KΩ, RC=20Ω , β=25, VBE=0.7V). (4)
(b) Draw the circuit of differentiator using Operational Amplifier
and write the expression for output. (2)
(c) For the op-amp circuit shown below, compute the value of
output voltage. (2)
