“Wait on the Lord”

Memory Text: “Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your
heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!” (Psalms 27:14).
Excerpt: The notion of waiting on the Lord is found not only in the Psalms but abounds
all through the Bible. The operative word in all this is perseverance. Perseverance is our
supreme commitment of refusing to succumb to fear of disappointment that somehow
God will not come through for us. God’s devoted child waits, knowing with certainty that
God is faithful and those who wait on Him can trust that if we leave our situation to Him,
we can be sure that He will work it out for our best, even if at the time we don’t
necessarily see it that way.

2024 Race and Ethnicity Survey

The Northeastern Conference is conducting a demographic survey of our Seventh-
day Adventist congregations in the North American Division and, our church
JASDA is included.
Our Clerk’s Ministry is tasked to enter the race and ethnicity of each member and
regular attendees.
This means we need your help and cooperation to obtain the information from you so
we can enter the data in eAdventist system database.
Purpose of the Survey: This survey is part of the Division’s ongoing efforts to ensure
that our ministry efforts and the gospel reaches everyone.
How can you participate? Two of our Clerks are handling this task as it’s time
sensitive; they are: Elder Seidia Bernard and Sis. Charlene King. When we approach
you to request the information, would you please respond positively? We may call,
text or speak with you. If you cooperate, then we will do what we need to do to

RETIREE: We are pleased to Announce the retirement of Bro. Silbert Nairne

from service as Custodian from Jamaica Church. He served for 23 years from
2000-2023. Bro. Silbert we pray the next chapter in your life brings peace and
