Our Conversation with Ms. Marianne Louise Gonzales:

Andre: What are your thoughts on charter change?

Marianne: Is that about altering the manner of governance? Is that it? Well, I disagree.

Aaron: Why is that?

Marianne: Because naturally, we’re accustomed to democracy, where power resides with the
people. So, it’s challenging for us to embrace a new form of government.

Andre: Thank you.

Our Conversation with Ms. Allyssa Jane Liberato:

Andre: What is your opinion on charter change?

Allysa: Charter change refers to the alteration of constitutional laws, the set of laws governing
society. In my view, there are aspects of the law that require modification to align with the
evolving nature of society. For instance, there’s a need to revise marriage laws to accommodate
the LGBTQ community, recognizing their rights and identities. Additionally, considering a
transwoman as a woman is crucial. Adapting to societal changes necessitates updating laws
outlined in the 1987 constitution, as they may not fully address contemporary needs in the 21 st
century.

Andre: Thank you very much.
