WIFE
Peter my beloved husband, it‟s still hard for me to accept that you are no longer here. Every
day I wake up and see the cold empty space where you used to lie and the pain comes crashing
down on me all over again. They say time heals all wounds but with your passing I have come
to realise that this is not entirely true. There are some wounds that time won‟t heal. Time will
instead teach us how to live with the pain. Peter, your death is one such wound for me. I will
learn over time to live with this pain. I will learn to put on a smile and say “I am okay" when I
am asked how I am doing, but I know I will never truly be okay again. I will live a „new nor-
mal‟ as they say. A new normal with the ever present pain of your absence from my life.
Peter was one of the kindest, most giving people I‟ve ever known. He found it hard to say „no'
to any request. He would easily give away his prized possessions without a second thought.
When we were first married, my mother in law sat me down and told me that my husband
needed to be watched because he was a „Father”.

CHILDREN
March 18th, 2024, a day we will always remember in sadness. It's been a few days Dad, but we
don't think we have accepted that we won't see you again. This is not how we imagined you
leaving us at all and it pains us to realize that you won't be there for us.
Recently, we have been going down memory lane and we are proud that we were given the op-
portunity to call you our Father. A man who loved his family deeply, A man who worked hard
to take care of his family, A man who brought us up in the way of the Lord, A man who was
always willing to lend a helping hand, A husband, A father, A friend, A man who was and is my
number 1 role model. We never thought there was anything you couldn't do if you wanted to
Dad, well except avoid death.

GRANDCHILDREN
Today we lost a man of great virtue and value. A man who knows how to settle matters on his
knees, and command the day by his words. We lost our amazing Grandpa. Rest in peace,
Grandpa. We will miss you

To Tata Peter thank you for the laughter, the lessons, and the love. You were more than a father
-in-law; you were a role model, a friend, and an integral part of our lives. Your memory will

EULOGY OF THE LATE PETER MAILU MULWA
BIRTH
The late Peter Mailu Mulwa was born in the year 1948 in Yoa village,
Muthwani sub-location, Mbooni-East sub-county in Makueni County. He
was the son of the late Mulwa Sila and Katuku Mulwa. He was brother to
late Kavindu Mutisya.
EDUCATION
The late Peter joined Kyooni Primary in the year 1958 and left in std 4.
WORK
The late Peter Mailu Mulwa went to Nairobi and started working at Posta
Kenya as Casual Labour , later he joined Chinese and later came home
where he was a farmer until his demise.
MARRIAGE
The late Peter Mailu Mulwa married his beloved wife; Juliana Muthina
Mailu in the year 1970. They were blessed with 4 sons and 5 daughters
namely; Sila Mailu, Angeline Mailu, Matata Mailu, Late Patrick Mutuku,
Josephine Ndinda, Carolyne Nduku and Magdalene Kamwethya. They were
blessed with 2 daughters in – law namely Rachel Sila and Emmah Munyao.
They were blessed with 18 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He was father in law to; Henry Kaseva, Mutua, Jackson Kioko, Kitili and
Nyange
They solemnized their marriage at Kyunyu Catholic Church
CHRISTIAN LIFE
He was a devoted member of Kyunyu Catholic church. He was baptized on
28/04/2016 and gained the name “Peter”. He was member of CMA.
SICKNESS & DEMISE
He lived a healthy life until 2022 when he started body complications. He
sought treatment in various hospitals including Kisau Sub-County and
Makueni Referral. He was diagnosed with pressure and anaemia. He under-
went treatment until 18/03/2024 where he was taken to Mbumbuni hospi-
tal and taken back home. On the same day at around 7:30 pm he was pro-
moted to Glory.
