The NEW Creation’ CLASS 1A
1. The New Creation(koe fktupu fo'ou)
“Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a NEW CREATION, old things are passed away and
all things are become new”
2 Corinthians 5:17

John 3:3
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

You cannot be identified with God unless you are born again. To be
born of Him.

A new man functions from the inward outside. A transformation from

the inside out - the victory lies in me because I have the life of God.
Paul said I put my body under subjection because he was conscious of
the life he has.

Identity is derived from birth

a. New creation never existed-Colossians 3:3

b. Life direct from God - 1 John 5:12 , John 1:12-13
c. Created for good works – Ephesians 2:10
d. Outward appearance not a relevant issue - Galatians. 6:15
e. Has the nature and righteousness of God - 2 Corinthians 5:21
The life of this new creature can only be described by the word of God. He is a new species of
being brought forth directly from God.

2. Born of God(fanau' 'ihe' Otua)

a. Believe and confess - Romans 10:9-10; John 1:12-14; 1 Peter 1:23
Confession of the word (seed) brings the new birth
b. As Jesus is a son so are you – Hebrews 2:9-11; Romans 8:17
c. I have God’s life – 1 John 5:11-13
I have God’s life because I am born of God.

ORIGIN OF SIN(faunga oe angahala)

Romans 5:14-15
14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after
the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be
dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath
abounded unto many.
Oh
The origin of sin is the devil.

Colossians 1:27
27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the
Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

3. Salvation by Grace – Ephesians 2: 2 –1(mo'ui ihe kelesi)

“For by grace you were saved through faith and not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of
works, lest anyone should boast”. Ephesians 2:8-9

Ephesians 2:10
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath
before ordained that we should walk in them.

Proverbs 4:18
18 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the
perfect day.

2 Corinthians 2:14
14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh
manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

There is no other option, I always get better everyday and i cannot but win in every situation.

a. Penalty of sin destroyed – Hebrews 2:14-15

b. Power of sin destroyed – Romans 6:13; Colossians 11:14
c. Acquitted before God – Romans 4:25,5:1
Justification – God declaring man free from sin not just a cancellation but
completely acquitted – the sin is completely taken away.
I am completely new and my life is not refurbished but completely brand new.
d. Grace at work in us – Romans 5:15,17
2 Peter 1:2
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord.

I'm saved by grace and live by grace.

4. Reason for Salvation(uhinga oe fkmo'ui)

a. God wants to bless you and make you great – Romans 5:17, Revelation 1:6, 2 Peter
5:1, 2 Corinthians 5:21

Genesis 12:1-3
1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and
from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and
thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all
families of the earth be blessed.

God wants to bless His children, He wants to make them great.

His divinity at work in us can only produce great achievements.
He is our father.

The earth is His and the fullness thereof all that belong to Him are ours,
He wants to bless us with them.

b. God wants you to preach the gospel to the world – Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-
20

2 Corinthians 5:18-20
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given
to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their
trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. note
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you
in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

• One reason God saved us is so we can be His outstretched hand to the world.
• He wants us to show His light
• Make them disciples of His kingdom.
• To prolong the days of His son, Jesus, here on earth (John 14:17).
• He has a personality, just as every human being has a personality,

5. The Assurance of Salvation(ilopau ho fkmo'ui)

a. The word of God – assurance based on what the word says not my feelings.
Titus 1:2; 2
2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; note

Romans 10:9
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that
God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

1 John 5:9
9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God
which he hath testified of his Son.

1 Timothy 3:16
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for
correction, for instruction in righteousness:

- The devil likes to deceive God’s children by making us feel we are not saved
-Our assurance of salvation is not through our feelings.
- Salvation is as close as a man’s heart and his mouth,
- God’s witness is the better witness
- God Himself witnesses that our salvation is assured by the belief in our hearts and the
confessions that our mouth made.
b. The witness of the Spirit – There is a knowing in me not by feeling but the Holy
Spirit in me; It is the testimony of the Holy Spirit in me - 1 John 2:27;
Romans 8:16
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

- Not what we feel but what the Holy Spirit says

- An inward witness of who we are in God
- God’s testimony of us is what is important

6. Remission and Forgiveness of Sins (fkfoki moe fkmolemole oe angahala)

Acts 2:38 KJV

38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus
Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Remission – a washing away or cleansing; it belongs to person who is not born again. This gives
a person a nature of righteousness.

Forgiveness – this is a covering of sins and only belongs to the believer - 1 John 1:9
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness.

7. Man Is A Spirit. He Has A Soul & Lives In A Body.(tangata koe Laumalie. Oku iai
hono loto & mo'ui ihe aino)

1 Thessalonians 5:23
23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul
and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

 The Soul. The center process of man. (koe loto)

- In it are the mind, will and emotions.
a. The mind is renewed by the word of God (Proverbs 23:7; James 1:13-15; Colossians 3:10; 2
Corinthians 3:18)

Romans 12:2
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

 The Body(koe sino)

a. The outward appearance is not the relevant issue
Galatians 6:15
15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new
creature.

b. You must bring your body under subjection

(1 Corinthians 9:24-27, John 4:24, Colossians 3:5, Romans 6:13-15)

It is our responsibility to keep the body under the rulership of our spirit.

The body wants to do what it feels like doing.

Many times the feelings in the body may be contrary to the word of God.

9We put our body under our spirit so we do not get disqualified after preaching to others.
The matured ones are the ones that have put the word of God to work in their lives - by reason of
use they have had their senses exercised to discern both good & bad.

THE NEW CREATION IS GOD WALKING HERE ON EARTH.

perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Receiving the Holy Spirit

• The Holy Spirit is received after salvation. It is man receiving God’s ability, becoming
identified with the omnipotence of God Acts 1:8 “The power” here means Dunamis. It is the
dynamic ability to cause changes.
• The Holy Spirit is received by faith
• And is mostly received by the laying on of hands; Acts 9:17, Acts 8:17, Acts 8:6.
• Receiving the Holy Spirit means receiving the anointing for Christian service, 1 John 2:20,
27, 2 Corinthians 1:21,
• You receive the power to preach the gospel, heal the sick and raise the dead.
• The Holy Ghost is for every child of God and is received by faith (Gal. 3:2),
• It is a gift Acts2:38. Since it is a gift, you don’t have to work it,

Being Filled With the Holy Spirit

• You receive the Holy Spirit once. Acts 2:1-4

The Fellowship of the Holy Spirit

2 Corinthians 13:14 “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the
communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all Amen”.
• The Greek here for communion means presence, sharing, fellowship, participation,
• intimacy, friendship, comradeship (commander).
• The Holy Ghost can actually become your friend. (Matthew 28:20b)
• His presence always goes with you, you cease to fear and Isaiah 41:10 becomes a living
reality “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed: for I am thy God: I will
strengthen thee; yea I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my
righteousness”. (Proverbs 18:24).
• He becomes the boss of your life, you wouldn’t want to hurt Him,
CLASS 2B Speaking In Tongues

Jude 20
 (c) Acts 10:46, Speaking in tongues is a language of the Spirit through which the
believer magnifies and glorifies God.
 The believer also gives thanks and praise to God as he speaks in tongues. (1
Corinthians 14:17).
 (d) He who speaks in an unknown tongue speaks mysteries or hidden truth, to
God. (1 Corinthians 14:2)
 There is a major difference between speaking in tongues as recorded in Mark
16:17 and 1 Corinthians 12:10. The latter is a gift of the Spirit. It is given to
believers as the Holy Spirit decides.
 In 1 Corinthians 12:10, the Bible talks about the working of the Spirit of God.
7 - fullness, abundance,completeness.

The Gift of the Holy Spirit –1 Corinthians 12:7-12

 The gifts here mean manifestation of the There are nine gifts of the Spirit as outlined in 1
Corinthians 12:8-10.
 (I) Word of wisdom (ii) Word of knowledge (iii) Faith (IV) Gifts of healing
 (v) Working of miracles (VI) Prophecy (vii) Discerning of spirit
 (viii) Divers kinds of tongues (ix) Interpretation of tongues.

•(a) What is the purpose of the gifts?

To build up the body of Christ. 1 Corinthians 14:1-3.

•(b) How can these gifts be received?

By faith and through strong desire. 1 Corinthians 12:31. There must be a strong and earnest
desire for these gifts.1 Corinthians 14:1, Matthew 7:7-11, Mark 11:24.
 (c) The gifts of the Holy Spirit are permanent. Romans 11:29
 (d) Can one man can receive and operate all of them.
Yes, John 3:34, Romans 15:29 Mark 9:23, John 15:7, Ephesians 3:19, James 1:5-8.
 (e) The gifts can be exercised at will. 1 Corinthians 14:15, 1 Timothy 4; 14, 2 Timothy 1:6.
The Ministry Gifts
 But into everyone of us is given grace according to the measure of the Gift of Christ.”
Ephesians 4:7

 “Wherefore he saith, when he ascended upon on high, he led captivity Captive, and gave
gifts unto men. And he gave some apostles; and some Prophets; and some evangelists; and
some pastors and teachers; for the Perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for
the edifying of the body of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:8, 11-12)

 Paul clearly spelt out the various offices God has set apart to see to it that the Christian is
built up and made ready to do the work of the ministry;

 The ministry given to those who occupy these five offices in the Body of Christ is primarily
to PERFECT THE SAINTS.

THESE MINISTRY GIFTS ARE

 a. The Apostle
This comes from the Greek word Apostolos that means a sent one, an ambassador of the Gospel,
 b. The Prophet
This is derived from the Greek word Prophetes. It shows a foreteller; an inspired speaker.
 (c) The Evangelist
Paul took this from the Greek word Evangelisties literally means, „a messenger of good‟. Heb
2:4,
 (d) The Pastor
The Greek word for Pastor as Paul used it is Poi men. This means a shepherd or one who tends/
herds flock.
 (e) The Teacher
From the Greek word, “Didaskalos.” This means, one who instructs; who expound in detail The
word of God and any revelation given by God (I Corinthians 13:2). According to Apostle Paul,
the fivefold ministry gifts motivates and train the saints for the work
of the ministry.

The Difference between the Ministry Gifts and the Gifts of the Holy
Spirit.
 The major difference between these nine manifestations of the Spirit of God from the
ministry gifts earlier discussed is found in I Corinthians 12:7
“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to everyman to profit withal”

•Every Christian necessarily have at least one of the nine

• The second difference is found in I Corinthians 14:1; “Follow after charity, and
DESIRE spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy”.

•So we find here that you can covet the nine gifts while the fivefold gift is a calling

“And no man taketh this honor unto himself, but he that is called of God as was
Aaron” Hebrew 5:4.

•All these manifestations of the Spirit serves for the edifying and common good of the
church (I Corinthians 12:7);
•But Paul shows that the best of them is the gift of prophecy. I
Corinthians 14:1.The reason is because it is one gift that edifies and builds up the church
at once when its in operation. He said;
“But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation and
comfort” I Corinthians 14:3

(3) Every Christian can walk in the power of the Holy Spirit.
 These signs shall follow them that believe Mark 16:16-17
 Believing puts one in the power of the Holy Spirit 1Pet 1:5
 You now have the Spirit of Power
 You can do all things
 Every Christian can walk in the power of the Holy Spirit and live in boldness
Ephesians 3:20, Ephesians 1:19, 2 Corinthians 15:4, 2Corinthians 4:20.
Class 3A - The Christian Life 1- Doctrines
•Luke 1:1-4.

1 Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those
things which are most surely believed among us,

2 Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses,
and ministers of the word;

3 It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the
very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,

4 That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been
instructed.
A doctrine is a recognizable principle of beliefs, teachings, values or instruction that is
adhered to, accepted, believed, taught and practiced by a given sect of people.
Most doctrines are transferable concept which have been handed down to us;
•Examples in the new testament are,
Righteousness, Baptism, Sanctification, Prosperity etc.
Each of them is important in ensuring that we live a sound Christian life.
Doctrines can be basically classified into three groups:
-Scriptural doctrines (founded on the word Acts: 1)
-Man made doctrine (Patterned after the human mind Acts 15:1, Gal 1:6-12
-False doctrines I Timothy 4:1-3.
Most false doctrines are based on the perversion of the truths of God’s Word.
I John 4:1-3. Acts 2:42, Gal1:6-12, Col 2:18-23, Eph 4:14, I Timothy 1:3

The Foundational Doctrines of Christ

 Hebrews 6:1-2,
1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection;
not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward
God,
2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the
dead, and of eternal judgment.

 The foundational principles of the doctrines of Christ are fundamental to faith and
form the foundation of a sound Christian experience.
 Any doctrine that in any way disagrees with these fundamental doctrines is
according to the standard of God’s Word a false doctrine;
 They therefore form a good reference point for judging any doctrine.
 All of the major cults and religions of the world deny and reject one or more of these
fundamental doctrines but these doctrines form the bedrock of the gospel of Christ.

The Foundational Doctrines Of Christ Are:

 Repentance from dead works
 Faith towards God
 Baptism
 Laying on of hands
 Resurrection of the dead
 Eternal judgement

1. Repentance from dead works

 Gal. 2:16.
 A Christian is justified by his faith and not by anything that he did or does.
 Salvation comes when one confesses with his mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and
believes in his heart that God raised him up from the dead,” Romans 10:9.
 Hebrews 9:11-14, through the blood of Christ, we have our consciences purged
from dead work to serve the Living God.

What are these works?

These are rituals by which the people of the Old Testament came to God.
 No act of sacrifice on our part to please God is acceptable.
 God sees rituals as dead work,
 All that is required for us is to believe and be justified.

2. Faith Towards God

 Hebrews 11:1-2,
The life of a believer is a life of faith; and God has called us to live in the realm of faith.
As God’s children we walk by faith not by sight; sight here means sensory perceptions.
2 Corinthians 5:7.
 God wants us to live in His realm, the realm of faith.
 The life of faith should not be a life of struggle
 We are born in faith. Romans12:3;Romans 10:9-10.
 It is every believers‟ responsibility to develop his faith. Romans 10:17.
 Hearing the word of God builds up our faith;
 So every believer must make conscious efforts of continually hearing the word of
God

3. Baptisms
 The word “baptize” is derived from the Greek word “baptizo‟, which means to
immerse completely into.
 There are 2 baptisms talked about under the New Covenant. These are:
 Baptism into Christ/Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
 This is what happens when a man is born again,
 He is buried into Christ in identification. He thus partakes of his death, burial
and consequently resurrection into a new life. Romans 6:3-4. I Corinthians 12:13.
See also I Peter 3:20-21.

 Baptism by Immersion in Water:

 This is one of the sacraments of the Church.
 It is the immersion of one completely into water;
 It is an outward manifestation of what happens to a man when he is born again,
 It was commanded by the Lord Himself, Matthew 28:19.

4. Laying on of Hands
 The main reason for laying on of hands is for an impartation of grace
 From the New Testament, there are 4 main reasons for it:
 To Minister Healing – Mark 16:17-18.
 The Infilling of The Holy Spirit – Acts 9:16.
 To Impart Spiritual Gifts – I Timothy 4:14.
 Ordination into the Ministry – Acts 13:2-3

5. Resurrection of the Dead

 The scriptures record that it is appointed for a man to die once and after that the
judgement. Hebrews 9:27.
 But death is an enemy.
 God never meant for man to die
 But disobedience brought death Romans 5:17,
 Death reigned until the obedience of Christ.
 Now, Christ has abolished death 2 Timothy 1:9-10
 He has given us the power to choose life.
 Death is a choice for the believer, death cannot reign over us.
 But those who die in Christ have hope in the resurrection. I Thessalonians 4:13-16,
 We believe in the resurrection of the dead because the word of God teaches us so.
 Man is a spirit being and does not go extinct when he dies,
 His goes to his master either God or the devil Romans 6:16.
Scriptural References: John 5:28-29, I Thessalonians 4:13-16,Hebrews 9:27.

6. Eternal Judgement
Hebrews 9:27.
 We have two types of judgement, one for the believers and the other for the unbelievers.
 Judgment Seat Of Christ
The judgement seat of Christ is where Christians receive rewards for the deeds they performed
while on earth.

I Corinthians 3:13-15
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be
revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. note
14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so
as by fire.

This is not a Judgement of condemnation Romans 8:1, Romans 14:10.

The Great White Throne Judgement:

Revelation 20:11-15

11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose
face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place
for them.

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the
books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book
of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were
written in the books, according to their works.

13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell
delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every
man according to their works. note

14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the
second death.

15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast
into the lake of fire.
 This is when the non–Christians will be judged or condemned for not accepting Jesus Christ
as their Lord and Saviour.
 Here the church also will be present together with God to pass judgement on the non-
Christians. I Corinthians 6:2-3.
Class 3B - Other Doctrine of Christ

A. Righteousness
Righteousness is the nature of God imparted to a man’s spirit that gives him the ability to stand
in the presence of God without a sense of guilt, inferiority complex, fear or condemnation 2
Corinthians 5:21, Romans 4:5
2 Corinthians 5:21
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the
righteousness of God in him.

 Righteousness, according to the scriptures, is a free gift of God.

 No man can earn it by working for it, doing something to get it.
 It is a free gift that is made available to everyone by the substitutionary work of the Lord
Jesus Christ.
 Every born again child of God is as righteous as our Lord Jesus Christ himself.
 One cannot grow or increase in righteousness,
 But definitely you can grow in the consciousness of your righteousness.
 This helps the communication of your faith to become effective and productive. Philemon
1:6.

B. Sanctification

 This means „consecration‟ or separation from others for a special use. It is two folds:
1. The separation of the believer from the world when he gets born again.
This is instantaneous upon receiving Christ. “I Corinthians 11. See also Hebrews 10:10, Jude 1.
1Cor 1:2

2. The ultimate separation of the believer unto God.

 This is by the Word of God affecting his being. This is gradual. It is not progressive or
procedural, but continuous. John 17; 17, 2Cor 3:18, 1Thes 4:4

C. Holiness
Ephesians 4:24
And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

1 Corinthians 6:19
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye
have of God, and ye are not your own?

- Hebrew 13:1

D. The Law
Ehesians 2:15
15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in
ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
- The Law of the old testament --- In Jesus Christ this was fulfilled.
- The Law of the New Testament --- it is the law of love.

Romans 8:3
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in
the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

Colossians 2:11-14
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the
body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the
operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened
together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to
us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

New Law:
John 13:34
"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one
another.

E. Deliverance
 The word deliver means “to take out”; “to save”; “to rescue from”
 Salvation is the central theme of the gospel and one of its benefits to the new creation is
deliverance.
 God has delivered us out of the control and the dominion of darkness.
 We are free from the power, hold, dominion or authority of darkness
Colossians 1:13.
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the
kingdom of his dear Son:

Mark 16:17
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they
shall speak with new tongues;

 This is a present tense reality;

 Jesus came to redeem man not just by paying a price [ransom] but by force Exodus 6:6, John
16:11, John 5:22-27, John 12:31
 Jesus made a public display of Satan’s defeat.
 He conquered and disarmed the power of darkness and spoiled them, Colossians 2:15. This
victory secured our deliverance.
 He translated us into the kingdom of His dear son.

F. Justification
Declared not guilty.
Acts 13:38-39
38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this
man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which
ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

G. Prayer

- God wants to hear and answer you

- It’s a fellowship with God, it more than just a request. Stop asking God to do
something for you because he has already done it.
Be thankful to God and let faith reign in through the knowledge of the word and put that
which you have desired as a thing of the past because I have already received it.

James 5:16-18
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.
The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it
might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six
months.

18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

Acts 6:4-7
But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of
faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and
Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:

6 Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands
on them.
7 And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in
Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

Luke 19:12-13

- Expect answers when you pray --- receive the answer when you ask.

- We pray in the Name of Jesus not through the Name of Jesus John 14:6 --- he is not a
medium but the authority in which we speak.

- Speaking in Tongues --- Praying in the Holy Spirit; Jude 1:20. 2 Corinthians 14: 2-5

Remission
 This is the removal or washing away or blotting away of sin.
 It is made possible by the expiratory and the propitiatory work of the blood.
 God has, by the blood of the lamb totally washed away sin.
 This has been done for the world,
 Christ has paid for the sins of the world.

5. Substitution
This is the basis for a lot of the blessings which we enjoy in the new Birth.
For Christ came down from God and was substituted for us.
He took our place and bore the judgement of God
We can now enjoy the blessing of restored relationship with God.

6. Forgiveness
 To forgive means to overlook a wrong as though it were not done and therefore to waive the
penalty.
 While remission deals with the nature of sin, forgiveness deals with the act of sin.
 1John 1:9, 10.

7. Redemption
 This means to deliver or set free by paying a price.
 The Bible tells us that Christ gave himself for us to redeem us from iniquity.
 Titus 2: 13-14.
 He gave himself as a substitutionary sacrifice so that we might be set free. Hebrews 9:12.

8 Justification
 This means being declared not guilty, discharged, acquitted.
 It implies that one had a bill of accusations levelled against him, but was declared “not
guilty” by the judge.
 We are justified by Jesus Christ. Acts 13:38, 39.
Acts 13:38-39 KJV
38
Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you
the forgiveness of sins:
39
And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified
by the law of Moses.
 This is because he has already, by his death and suffering, paid the penalty for the crime
committed
 And by rising from the dead declared us “not guilty”. Romans 8:1, 2.

CLASS 4A Soul winning & Evangelism

Evangelism - Ministry to the World.

Matthew 28:18-20

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in
earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the
Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with
you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

PURPOSE:

- Win

- Build

- Send

Pastor Chris is coming to Tonga very soon - 4:7:15_12:53

Be simple amd

Matthew 28:18-19
A christian who is not a soul winner is not a candidate of heaven. This person will miss out of
the priviledges that God has for him

2 Corinthians 5:18-20

18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given
to us the ministry of reconciliation;

19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their
trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you
in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

1. The Great Commission

Mark 16:15-20;

Matthew 28:18-20

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in
earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the
Son, and of the Holy Ghost: note

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with
you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

a. It is a command not a suggestion

He commissioned me to go so it is not an option. We are soldiers of Christ and we have
been sent with a command to take the gospel to the lost; I don’t choose whether I do it or
not, I am a soldier of Christ.

b. Winning souls is important

Roman 10:13-16, Mark 16:15-16
Mark 16:15-20
Romans 10:13-15
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they
believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the
feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
c. Every christian is qualified to win souls I have what it takes to win souls, to give
life.
2 Corinthians 5:18-20
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and
hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their
trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. note
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we
pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
d. There is a reward for the Soul Winner
a. The souls I win are my crown
b. There is growth when I win souls.
Daniel 12:3
3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn
many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
1 Corinthians 9:16,18,25
16 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon
me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!
18 What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the
gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.
25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it
to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
2. Evangelism
- It is the act of proclaiming the gospel for the purpose of winning souls.
- My purpose for my preaching is to see lives changed.
Be conscious of souls when you are around.
3. Join This Chariot
Acts 8:26-35
29 Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.
35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached
unto him Jesus.
A chariot is a vehicle of life.
- Chariot: a place where you are where a group of people have something in common ---
it’s also known as my mission field.
- My responsibility there is to win souls.
Daniel 12:3; 1 Corinthians 9:16
1 Corinthians 9:16-18 KJV
16
For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon
me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!
17
For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of
the gospel is committed unto me.
18
What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel
of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.

4. Ministry in the Church

Is the Ministry of Winning, building and sending.
Specific gifts to the church:
Ephesians 4:11
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and
some, pastors and teachers;
Thats why its important to come to church to be perfected.
Every Christian has a responsibility in church.
a. Evangelisation to the world
b. Building the body of Christ

Purpose:

- Is to know, reveal and fulfil the redemptive plan of Christ.

- Jesus for the joy set before him endured the cross --- that joy was me a person in whom
God dwells and functions from.
Ministry – Win, build them and then send them to do the same.

5. Your Role in the Ministry:

a. Ministry to the Lord
b. Ministry to the world
c. Ministry to one another

This is the responsibility of everyone in the church.

6. Discipleship & Training

Disciple: an adherance; a person who learns to live; he does what he has learned. He
learns for the purpose of doing.
Can be done through teaching, tutoring, mentoring or association to be trained as
disciplines of Christ.
The teacher and the disciple are recognizable by habits and he way they live.
John 13:34-35
34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you,
that ye also love one another.
35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
2 Timothy 2:22-24,
22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them
that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach,
patient,
John 11:16, Ephesians 4:11-16, 1Timothy 3:16-17

7. The Place of prayer

Soul winning – it is taking passionately moving people from darkness to light.
Praying for these souls is very important so that these souls come and receive life. Mark
3:27 --- The strong man needs to be bound first that why we pray.
8. Cells
What is a Cell?
A cell is a basic independent structural unit in the church. Fellowship done in these cells
are for purpose of growing the church.
> A place where souls are won.
> A place where leaders are recognized and developed.

Follow-up in the cell is extremely important.

- It is the part of the church responsible for winning souls. Bring them to church to grow in
their knowledge of the word of God.

Class 4A
The Christian Life 2 – New Creation Realities

WHAT IS REALITY?
WHO ARE YOU?
WHERE DO YOU LIVE?
DO YOU HAVE ANY AUTHORITY?
WHAT SHOULD DOMINATE MY MIND?
WHAT ELSE SHOULD MAKE ME COMPLETE?
WHAT KIND OF NATURE DOES ME POSSES?

1, What Is Reality or Truth

In John 14:6 Jesus said “I am the WAY the TRUTH (REALITY) and the LIFE.
•Truth is not what we see with our eye, feel with our bodies, and hear with our ears. It is not
anything we can perceive with our five senses. Truth is whatever God has DECLARED about a
thing in His word. Jesus prayed, „Sanctify them by the truth.‟ John 17:17.
•Reality is not what you feel or see. It is what the word says.
(2 Corinthians 4:18, John 1:17, John 17:17, John 14:6)
•Anything that disagrees with the word of God is a lie even though it may be real to the five
senses.
•John 18:37

2. Who Are You?

Firstly, the Christian is a NEW CREATION. (2 Corinthians 5:17).
(Galatians 6:15) He is saying that the man is new despite what the outside looks like.
(Ephesians 4:22-24).

•The new creation is a new man created with God’s divine nature of righteousness and
holiness. (2 Peter 1:4).
•The Christian has become the son of God: He is born again. (John 1:13).
1 John 3:1, Romans 16:17.

3. You Now Live In Zion (Hebrews 12:22).

•This is the city that hath foundations that Abraham sought Heb 11:10
•Bible says that mount Zion is the city of our solemnities (Isaiah 33:20-24).
•It is the city of our appointed feasts, for there, all ours‟ and those that live in there shall
never say they are sick.
•Zion is the kingdom of light. (Colossians 1:13).
•We are truly not of this world. We live in God’s kingdom
•But we live on the earth also. We truly live in two worlds Hebrews 12:22, John 14:6,
Isaiah 33:20, Colossians 1:13, John 17:14.

4. You Sit In A Place Of Power.

•Ephesians 2:6.
•Ephesians 1:20-21. It is a place of power and authority.
•He said that He was sending us even as the father has sent him. John 20:21
•He did not reduce the authority, He sent us with the same measure of authority.
Ephesians 1:20-21; Ephesians 2:6; Matthew 28:18-19; Mark 16:16-18.

5. The “I Can Do Mentality”

 The Christian has no limitation whatsoever. The Bible says “I can do all things
through Christ which strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).
 Nothing is impossible to the new creation.
 The ability of God is at work in him.
 The power in him is the anointing of the Christ.
 “In all things we are more than conquerors” (Romans 8:37).
And greater is He that lives in us than he lives in the world. Philippians 4:13; Matthew
19:26, mark 11:24, Romans 8:37, Galatians 2:20.

6. You Are Complete In Him

 “And you are complete in Him, which is the head of all principalities and power”
(Colossians 2:9-10).
 The fullness of the Godhead bodily dwelt in Jesus and we are complete in Him.
–It means that the fullness of the Godhead dwelt in us.
 Bible talks about the mystery hidden by God from all ages and generation which He
has made known among the gentiles which is CHRIST IN YOU THE HOPE OF
GLORY.
 Christ dwells in our hearts fully. We have the full deposit of God’s anointing. We do
not require a double portion of it because that is less than God’s best.
 The fullness of deity dwells in our hearts and we are completely in Him who heads
up all powers and principalities.
 I John 3:2 lets us know that there is no difference between Jesus and us today. He
said “As He is so are we in this world, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be
but when He shall appear we shall see Him as He IS.”

7. You Are God’s Righteousness

 Righteousness is the nature of God. It is that nature that we have received from God
 It gives us a right standing in His presence.
 It gives us the ability to stand before God without a sense of guilt, inferiority or
condemnation.
 It is a gift bestowed on us by God irrespective of whatever we have done.
 This gift is received by faith.
 It is righteousness that gives us the ability to reign in life without feeling any sense
of condemnation.
 It is our tool of domination.
 We do not receive it by observing the works of the law. Philippians 3:9
 We submit to God’s righteousness by ceasing to trust in our works. Romans 10:1-5.
 Righteousness gives us access to God’s presence. Ephesians 2:18; Ephesians 3:12.
 It gives us boldness: Hebrews 10:19; Proverbs 28:1.
 It gives us peace. Romans 5:1, Isaiah 32:17, Romans 5:17, 2 Corinthians 5:21,
Romans 10:1-5, Ephesians 3:12, Ephesians 2:18.
CLASS 4B Week 8
the Christian Life 2 – New Creation Realities

1. You Have Eternal Life

 Eternal life is the heritage of every Christian. ZOE
 It is quality of life in the heart of God that makes Him who he is.
 Eternal life is the “NEW LIFE” in Christ,
 In John 10:10 Jesus is referring to ZOE.
 The only condition there is to receive life, is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.
(John 5:24, John 20:31)
 When a man believes in Jesus Christ as the son God, he is immediately is a recipient
of this God kind of life, i.e. Zoë.
 He receives a new life, the God-Life, in his spirit and immediately becomes a
partaker of the divine nature.
 When a man becomes born again, he is born of God and not of human will.
 Everything reproduces according to its kind. (John 10:34)
 Jesus Christ came to the world with the life of God for man.
 In Him there is a proof that man has the capacity to both CONTAIN and
EXPRESS God.
 He broke the power of death and took man out in freedom. He actually
ABOLISHED death. 2 Timothy 1:10
 This was the single mission of Jesus Christ on the earth and He completely fulfilled
it.
 He came and destroyed every works of the devil. He brought LIFE to the world.
That life is Zoë.

2. Your Rights in Christ

 Slaves do not have rights because they are subject of their masters.
 When we talk of rights, we are presupposing the presence of freedom or liberty. (A
man has legal rights).
 (Luke 4; 18)
 The word liberty means “released” or “right”.
 Jesus said He does this by the anointing. Read Galatians 5:13, Galatians 2:4.
 So we have been called into liberty/ freedom which freedom is empowered with a
legal right.
 So Christ brought us out of slavery, so He could bring us into freedom with legal
rights.

What are the enforceable rights?

 The Right to Choose
 Right to Live
 Right to Rule
 Divine Health (Isaiah 53:4-5)
“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in HEALTH, even as thy soul
prospereth.” (3 John 2).

 Prosperity and Abundance

“Beloved, I wish above all that thou mayset prosper and be in health,
even as thy soul prospereth.” (3 John2)

(3) You Are God’s Address

 The address of a person is where the person lives. His house, where he operates
from.
 Before, God was dwelling in tents in the Old Testament.
 During the time of Moses, God in his glory started dwelling in the ark Exodus 40:34-
35.
 The ark typified the presence of the Lord. It means that wherever the ark was, God’s
presence was equally there... Joshua 3:13-16. That was God’s address.
 They carried the ark to battle fields and defeated their enemies.
 Solomon built God a temple and after dedicating the temple, the glory of the Lord
filled the temple. 2 Chronicles 7:1-2.
 God started dwelling in that temple.
 They prayed to God in the temple or prayed facing the temple
 The temple became His office where He reaches out to sons of men.
 But the Bible says that the most high does not live in houses made by hands/ men
Acts 7:48.
 When Christ died, the curtain of the temple was turn into twain from top to bottom
 Now the Holy Ghost will dwell in anybody that will confess Jesus as Lord of their
lives.

 In the Old Testament temple we have the outer court, inner court, and the holy of
holies where God dwells.
 Likewise our body typifies the outer court, where all activities of life take place. Our
soul represents the inner court while our spirit represents the holy of holies where
God dwells in.
 We are called the temple of God. (I Corinthians 6:19), but He dwells in our spirit.
 We have the inner man and the outward man, 2 Corinthians 4:16.
–The inward man is made up of the Spirit and soul. God dwell in our spirit, in the
hidden man of the heart.
–Our body is our house, it houses the human spirit.
–And since God dwells in our spirits, it means that our body is the house of God.
Hebrews 3:6.
 It means that since God dwells in us, everybody that needs God ought to come to us
 We are God’s address, He works in us and through us. We are His headquarters,
 Wherever we are, God is there. We carry Him around.
 When a sinner needs repentance, deliverance, healing or anything they ought to
come to where God lives.
 So carry God to the people that need Him.
 Ephesians 2:21-22, I Corinthians 6:19, Ephesians 1:21-22,
 We have to live with the consciousness that we are God’s temple and this
consciousness will make us operate with tremendous power,
 Colossians 1:27.

(4) His Extension

 The body of Christ is a part of Christ. Jesus is the head, and the body is the Church
but both of us make up Christ.
 Christ means the anointed one and His anointing. When Jesus was anointed of the
Holy Spirit that He became Christ (the anointed one).
 He went about doing good healing all that were oppressed of the devil for God was
with Him.
 In Christ there are two generations in one. (Jesus and the Church)
–In Matthew 1:1-17,
 Jesus lived His life, performed outstanding miracles we are the extension of his
ministry
 We are his offering/ seed and are prolonging His days.
 What Jesus started, He continues through the Holy Ghost, which He has given to us.
 Jeremiah 51:20-22, we are Christ’s weapons of war, crushing the power of the devil
through us.
 We are just Like Him in every way, born of the same Spirit, by the same word, have
the same life, and above all have the same father. What He started He continued in
us by anointing with the Spirit.
 Acts 1:8. We have received the power to be a Christ. We were anointed. First of all,
we were baptized/ immersed into the Holy Spirit and later the Holy Spirit came to
dwell in us.
 We are in Christ (the anointed one and His anointing), that means that we were
immersed into the anointing.
 Galatians 2:20, Christ dwells in us, we have received power to do the works of
Christ.
 The same anointing that Christ had that made Him to do the works of Him who sent
Him that is what we have received.
 I John 2:20, 27. The anointing abides in us. It doesn’t leave, it stays there
permanently.
 But we have to cultivate the anointing.
 Jesus cannot cast out devils anymore or heal the sick, or raise the dead, since He can
only do it through us. That is why we are His extension.
CHRISTIAN CHARACTER AND PROSPERITY

1. The Importance of Growth for the Christian.

Galatians 4:1-2 KJV

1
Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be
lord of all;

2But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
Ephesians 4:14-16
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every
wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to
deceive;
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even
Christ: note
16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint
supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of
the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
2. How can I grow in as a Christian
a. Personal Study and application of the word. (2 Timothy 2:15)
2 Timothy 2:15 KJV
15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly
dividing the word of truth.
Acts 17:11
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all
readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
b. Fellowship (Church service and cell)
Hebrew 10:25
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting
one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Ephesians 4:12
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of
Christ
Acts 17:10-11 KJV
10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming
thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all
readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Acts 2:46-47 KJV

46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to
house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily
such as should be saved.

c. Walking In Love
John 13:34-35 KJV
34
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye
also love one another.
35
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Romans 5:5
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the
Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

d. Our Confession or our manner of life

Hebrews 13:5-6 KJV
5
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for
he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
6
So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto
me.

The life of the Christian is a life of confession; it’s a life of speaking.

The way I talk must change, because my confession is only in line with the word of God.

Proverbs 18:21 KJV

21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

e. How to settle Disagreements or Disputes

Matthew 18:15-17 KJV
15
Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and
him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
16
But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or
three witnesses every word may be established.
17
And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church,
let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

f. Sanctify your Thoughts (Hebrews 1:13-15)

James 1:13-14
13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with
evil, neither tempteth he any man: note
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Philippians 4:8 KJV
8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things
are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good
report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Dismiss anything that does not belong to these things; take out and replace it with thoughts of the
word of God. Stand your ground on accommodating thoughts that I allow.
Romans 12:2
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

3. YOUR RIGHTS IN CHRIST

Luke 4:18
18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the
poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and
recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
Galatians 5:13
13
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh,
but by love serve one another.

A slave doesnt have rights, yet a Son does have rights.

a. The Right to Choose

Circumstances dont choose for me, with the freedom I have in Christ there is no such thing
as a hinderance - I choose the kind of life I want to live. I am released and propelled to win
always.
b. The Right to
c. The Right to Live
Proverbs 4:18
18 But the path of the [uncompromisingly] just and righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines
more and more (brighter and clearer) until [it reaches its full strength and glory in] the perfect
day [to be prepared].

PROSPERITY

1. Prosperity

3 John 2 KJV
3Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul
prospereth.

Most people are against the teaching of prosperity yet they work hard every day to be
prosperous.

Even as I am prosperous in my soul area so will I be prosperous in my body.

2 Corinthians 8:9 NIV

9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he
became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.

Rich – abundance in material things

2. The Purpose of prosperity

Deuteronomy 8:18 NIV

18
But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and
so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today.

Ephesians 4:28

28 The one who steals must steal no longer; rather he must labor, doing good with his own
hands, so that he may have something to share with the one who has need.

Jesus Christ through what he did brought us into this covenant. When God gives me the power to
make wealth he is establish his covenant with me.

He is establishing the covenant that he make with me that His resurrection has brought to me
everything I need in life because Salvation is all inclusive. I show off all that God has
appropriated for me.

Jesus saved me once and for all to live the victorious life through the life and his Spirit that he
has deposited in me.

3. Tithe

Malachi 3:10

10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove
me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and
pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Genesis 14:18-20
18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the
most high God.

19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven
and earth:

20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And
he gave him tithes of all.

Luke 11:42 KJV

42
But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over
judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

4. Offering

Malachi 3:8-10 KJV

8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed
thee? In tithes and offerings.

9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.

10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and
prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of
heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Luke 6:38

38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and
running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it
shall be measured to you again.

5. Firstfruits
Romans 11:16
16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the
branches.
Proverbs 3:9-10
9 Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new
wine.
6. Seed Offering

2 Corinthians 9:9-11

9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness
remaineth for ever.

10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply
your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)

11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to
God.

This is a special seed offering in desperation of something you want to happen or to see.

7. Partnership
Giving as if the success of what needs to be done depends on me.

LIVE LIFE ACCORDING TO THE PRINCIPLES OF GOD’S WORD.

CLASS 5A
Christian Service and Behaviour

Introduction
 Christianity is the life of God revealed through the human person. It is God dwelling
in the heart of man and causing the man to manifest such attributes known only
with God.
 “If any man be in Christ Jesus, He is a new creation; old things are passed away and
all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17).
 The new creation has a brand new life working in him. It is the life of God.
 “But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness,
temperance, against such there is no law.”

Our Confession
 Christianity is a life of confession.
–Confession comes from the Greek word, “Homolodia” which means, speaking the
same thing with God in consent.
 What we speak is not what we see, think or feel. We speak what we believe.
(Hebrews 13:5-6)
 It is our confessions that put our faith to work.
 Salvation is sealed by confession.
 Our confessions set our lives on course. Our lives go in the direction of our
confession.
The Bible says;
•(Hebrews 11:3)

 Life and Death Is In the Power of the Tongue : Proverbs 18:21

 The last point deals with saying the same things with God. In other words agreeing
with God with our words, but these one deals with the power of our tongue.
 The tongue has power to kill or make alive.
 The reason why we have to agree with God and say what He says is because His
words are spirit and they are life. (John 6:63). Therefore, His word will produce life
for us.
 Any other words will produce negative things because there is power in the tongue.
The Bible says;
 The power to control life lies in the tongue even though the tongue is one of the
smallest members of the body. (James 3:2-6)
 The tongue controls everything about life.
 Mark 11:22, we shall live whatsoever we say.
 We must keep speaking the word of God. The Bible says we should hold fast our
confession.
Faith Walk
 The Christian walk is a walk of faith. (Hebrews 11:6)
 We should be focused on nothing else but on the word. (2Corinthians 4:18).
 Everything the senses can perceive is temporal. They are subject to change
 For we walk by faith and not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7). Our walk of faith is based
on the law of faith.
 The law of faith declares, (2 Corinthians 4:13).
–“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believe and
therefore have I spoken; we also believe and therefore speak.”
 This is why God has said, “let the weak say, I am strong.”

(5) Christianity Is a Life of Submission

•The Christian life is a life of submission. Submission is to the word of God.
•When we submit ourselves to one another or to the authority (both spiritual and earthly)
we are submitting to the word because, it is the word that admonishes us to live in
submission.
•There are three level of Authority that the Bible asks the Christian to recognize and
submit to. They are:
• (a) Authority in the Home :Ephesians 5:22-23,Ephesians 5:25, (Ephesians 6:1-3.
• (b) Civil Authority:Romans 13:1-2, I Timothy 2:1-2.
• (c) Authority in the Church:Hebrews 13:17.
CLASS 5B Week 10
Christian Service and Behaviour

• Christian Service Ministry

Service means ministration and worship to God. It means one who runs errand. We are
involved in divine service.
• We are called into spiritual service to the Lord (Romans 12:1-3).
• It is not what we do on Sundays or Wednesdays or when we go for prayer meetings.
• Serving God is much more than rendering service. It is really our ENTIRE LIFE. It is
a life of service totally sold out and consecrated to the master.

The Great Commission

• God has given every Christian a responsibility on earth. (Matthew 28:18-20)
• This is what is commonly referred to as the great commission.
• It is the Commandment given by the Lord to every believer.
• He said we should teach all nations the gospel and get them baptized in His name.
(Mark 16:15-16).
• So the Holy Spirit brought to us the power to render the spiritual service to the Lord.

The Need for Training

• For every worthwhile venture, there must be enough training, so as to achieve
maximum result. The same thing applies to God’s work.
• Everyone who is a member of the body of Christ ought to be trained and thoroughly
furnished to carry out this great work.
• Ephesians 4:11-13
• God’s plan is that every child of His gets involved in the work of the ministry/
service
• He also made provision for the training of His children for this work.
• David trained as a shepherd, I Samuel 17:34-36. He was later to become the greatest
king of Israel.
• Moses on the other hand, had to be trained for forty years before he could do that
which he was called to do (Exodus 1:3).
• The basic tool for training is the word of God. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

The Ministry Of Reconciliation

• God has appointed the Church to be the deaconry through which the world gets to
Christ.
Jesus said,
–“I am the way, the truth and the life, for no man goeth before the Father except
by me.”
• The Church is His body and so continuing the work also means that Jesus is still
doing His work. Paul said,
–“To wit, that God was in the world reconciling the world unto himself, not
imputing their trespasses unto them, and hath committed unto us the word of
reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech
you by us, be ye reconciled to God.”2 Corinthians 5:19-20).
• God was reconciling the world to Himself through Jesus Christ. Today, however,
God is living in us and through us, is reconciling the world to Himself.
• be consistent with the sharing of the gospel (2 Timothy 4:2)
• the one who gets involved on the soul winning work is a wise man Pro 11:30
• and Daniel says they will shine as the stars of heaven Daniel 12:3.

Ministry In The Church

• There are two different aspects of Christian service and ministry,
• There is an aspect of the ministry that deals with the evangelization of the world and
• there is the one that deals with the building up of the body of Christ. (ie those
already called out of the world.
• Ephesians 4:7 talks about the gifts needed to build up the body of Christ.
• This also shows that building the church is a team work. Every member of the
church should be as vitally involved in church building as he is in evangelizing the
world.
• (Ephesians 4:15-16).
• The church can only grow when the members make use of the gifts God has given
them.
Corinthians 12:27-28.
CLASS 6A

1, The Body Of Christ.

• The church is God’s peculiar treasure. Psalm 16:3
• WHAT IS THE UNIVERSAL CHURCH AND HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?
• The universal church comprises every member of the body of Christ in the whole
world. This is the whole family of God that meets in every part of the world.
• To become a member of the universal church (or the church precisely), one has to be
born again.
• To be born again is to appreciate for yourself the salvation that Jesus brings.
• All you have to do is to act on the word of as it is in Romans 10:9-10.
• By reason of these proclamation, or declaration, one is baptized into the body of
• Christ through the instrumentality of the Holy Spirit. This is being born again (i.e
Holy Ghost baptism).
I Corinthians 12:13 “For by one spirit are we all baptized into one body…

Purpose Of The Church

• 1, To glorify God – Ephesians 1:9-12; Ephesians 3:20-21.
To show forth His Excellency, His Perfection. Ephesians 3:21.
• 2, To witness to the world: This talks of soul winning, and it is God’s number one
job.
• It’s God’s heart throb. Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 5:17-19; Mark
16:15,16.
• 3, To build the church: Every member of the church has the responsibility of
contributing to the building or edification of the church.
• As Christians, we should take up our appropriate responsibilities viz. Soul winning
and soul development. Ephesians 4:11-16.

WHY DO WE NEED THE LOCAL ASSEMBLIES

• Every child of God is expected to have regular fellowship with the brethren.
Hebrews 10:25
• Local assemblies are places where Christians come together to pray, worship, hear
God’s Word and be built up on God’s Word
• and also where others can come and hear God‟s word and get saved by acting on
the Word.
• It is important therefore that we have the local assemblies because it enhances
fellowship and causes every member to contribute his or her own part to the work
of the ministry.
• Also, unity of the brethren is adequately enhanced, I Corinthians 12:21-26.
• local assembly enables members to identify what office or role they can perform
(Romans 12:4,5).

“UPON THIS ROCK WILL I BUILD MY CHURCH” IS THE ROCK PETER?

• Take a close look at Matthew 16:13-19,
• This means the Christ.
• So we find that Jesus Christ is the rock upon which the church is built. Other
scriptures reveals this clearly. I Corinthians 3:11, Ephesians 5:23-25; Ephesians 2:18-
20; I Peter 2:4-7.

EVERYONE SHOULD BELONG TO A CHURCH

• We should not make ourselves church supervisors, going from one church to
another under the pretext that God spoke to us, for there is no such thing as that.
• We should be committed to a local assembly.
• The only time God will speak to you to leave a church for another according to the
scriptures is when His word is not taught there (i.e. not having a sound doctrine).
He would now (by the Holy Spirit) direct you to a proper place. See Acts 2:42;
Hebrews 2:13.
• Also going from church to church would not allow you to be built up. It rather helps
to raise questions and doubt and suspicion.

WHO BUILDS THE CHURCH?

 Jesus is the rock upon which the church is, Matthew 16:18. Jesus therefore is the
builder of the church.
 He is the head of the church, Ephesians 5:23. He is the author and the finisher (or
perfector) of our faith, Hebrews 12:2.
 Also, every member of the church is equally building the church. This is the reason
for the ministry gifts in Ephesians 4:12-16, Thus we are partner with deity. God is
building His church through us.
 I Corinthians 3:9-10.
 “For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s
buildings. According to the grace of which is given unto me, as a wise master
builder. I have laid the foundation and another buildeth there on. But let every man
take heed how he buildeth there upon.

WHY DO I GO TO CHURCH?
 Hebrews 10:25
 It is the custom of Jesus to go to the temple, same also with the disciples.
 They are our examples. We should follow after them.
 Also it is important that we go to church to be built up in God‟s word and to be
equipped so that we can build others up too.
 Finally, we go to church to worship God, to pour our hearts out to Him, to praise
and glorify Him.
CLASS 6B Week 12

Believer’s LoveWorld
Last week, we dealt with the body of Christ and the need for every individual Christian
to be a vital member of a local assembly. This week we shall be dealing with our
ministry and church. That is the Believer’s LoveWorld Inc. and Christ Embassy.

Our Name
The ministry is known as Believer’s LoveWorld Inc. It is several arms for example, the
ministry has churches and chapters on campuses. The Churches are known and called
Christ Embassy, while the Chapters on campuses are known as Believer’s LoveWorld
fellowships. The ministry also operates churches known as Christ Embassy Satellite
Churches. They are not autonomous but are part of the main church from where they
were Pioneered. Their Pastors are called Lay Pastors because while they pastor, they
also work.
Our churches (Christ Embassy) are pastored by full-time pastors ordained and
recognized by and in the ministry. The Believer’s LoveWorld fellowships are led by
pastors and coordinators who are anointed for the period they pastor the fellowships.
They are recognized as leaders in the ministry.

The Cell System

The cell system is a system, which creates an avenue for soul winning and
development. It gives every individual in the ministry an opportunity to be Vitally
involved and be part of what God is doing. The cell system is also designed to
encourage fellowship amongst brethren, which is necessary for the nurturing and
development of their faith. The cell system is recognized in such a way that it makes for
easy monitoring and co-ordination.
The cell unit (groups) as they are called is a meeting of 2,3 or more people as the case
may be. They meet together weekly, share the word of God together, win other people
like themselves and add to the body of Christ.
They are meant to know each other’s address (home and work) and to be closely knit
together as brothers and sisters. They care for one another and are concerned about one
another.
The cell is expected to grow that is increase spiritually and numerically. However, the
cell does not exist on its own. It operates under a larger body called Pastoral Care
Fellowship (PCF). There are various PCFs here in our church and these PCFs consist of
Pastoral Care Units (PCU) which usually automatically emerges from three (3) existing
cells, which have developed from a single cell, with the original leader becoming the
PCU leader. The cell is structured in such a way to suit the individuals vocational,
residential, and age groupings.
The cell system creates a lot of room for individual growth. Every member of the
ministry can aspire to be a cell leader, PCU leader and indeed a PCF leader.
