The Green Mile

Hello, everyone! Today, I want to tell you about a movie called "The Green Mile." It's a
film from 1999, directed by Frank Darabont and based on a book by Stephen King.

The story takes place in a prison in the 1930s. It's about a officer named Paul Edgecomb who
works on death row, also known as the Green Mile, because of the color of the floor. One
day, a new inmate named John Coffey arrives. He is very big and strong but also very kind.
John has a special power to heal people.

And now lets talk about the characters.

Paul is the main character and a prison guard. He is kind and starts to believe in the
innocence of a prisoner named John Coffey. He is a compassionate man who starts to
question the morality of the death penalty, especially after meeting John Coffey.

John is a big and strong African-American man who is convicted of a crime he didn't commit.
He has a supernatural gift of healing.

Percy is a sadistic and cruel young guard who enjoys mistreating the prisoners. He causes
problems for the other guards and prisoners espacilly with Paul.

Brutal is another guard on death row who is a close friend of Paul. He is kind-hearted and
loyal

Del is a prisoner who becomes friends with. He is meek and gentle but becomes a victim of
Percy's meanness.

"The Green Mile" is a touching film that will make you reflect on life, humanity, and the
powier of kindness. The performances are outstanding, especially Michael Clarke Duncan's
portrayal of John Coffey. It's a must watch movie that will stay with you long after you've
watched it.
