Assessment changes to Primary English

The current format and structure of the Checkpoint tests (Stage 6) will continue to examine the current Primary
curricula in the 2020, 2021 and 2022 examination series. The redeveloped Checkpoint tests (Stage 6) will
assess only one-year content from the new Primary curricula starting from the 2023 examination series. The
transition period for the Checkpoint tests will enable learners who are part-way through the current curriculum
in 2021 to still be assessed on three-year content in the 2022 examination series.

Past papers will continue to be made available on the website.
