CALL FOR PAPERS

Mutare Polytechnic under the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation,
Science, and Technology Development, will be hosting its sixth Research and Innovations
Conference and (Third International Conference) from 4-5 July 2024. Tertiary institutions
are catalysts for economic development. As such, Mutare Polytechnic seeks to break the silo
mentality by bringing together delegates from Industry, Research Institutions, Academia,
Scientists, Design Technologists, Environmental Management Agency and SMEs. The
conference is aimed at developing tangible research outputs through innovation. It also aims
to usher in an unprecedented convergence of people, business and issues that disrupt existing
business, teaching, infrastructural and social models.

Paper Presentations and Sub-Themes:


1 Inclusive (Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and
Community Engagements:
-Mental health education and wellness in TVET institutions.
-Assistive technologies and special needs in TVET curriculum.
-Gender equality and social inclusion in TVET institutions.
2 Green TVET for Sustainable Economic Growth.
-Green energies in TVET.
-Exploring green approaches and strategies in designing TVET curriculum.
-Green logistics in TVET for economic development.
3 Libraries in TVET and Heritage-based Education.
-Exploring the role of libraries in TVET education.
-Digital libraries and the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).
4 Research, Innovation and emerging technologies in TVET institutions.
-Augmented and virtual reality in TVET institutions.
-Cyber physical systems and security.
Submission Guidelines

 Submissions are invited for original and unpublished papers.


 Papers should be aligned to one of the conference paper presentation sub-themes.
 All submissions must be in English.
 Submit abstracts of a maximum of 250 words for review before acceptance on
research@mutarepolytechnic.ac.zw
VIRTUAL CONFERENCE FEES: USD$50.00.

CONFERENCE FEES including bed/breakfast, conference package, conference welcome


dinner, and excursion is USD$625 for “Early Registration” and US$700 for Registration after
31 May 2024. Conference fees excluding accommodation is US$315 for “Early
Registration” and US$415 for Registration after 31 May 2024.
