RF Communications
• July 2 – July 29, 2024
• 12:30 PM – 4:30 PM
• Students interested in radio frequency communications are invited to register for
Summer Learning’s RF Communications course.
• Based at Kwantlen Park Secondary, students will learn about the theory behind RF
transmissions, the internal workings of radios, how to communicate using different
equipment and antennas across the city, the country, the world, and even with the
International Space Station.

• Our guest speaker for March is Florian Krauthan. Florian is an engineering manager at FISPAN, a local
financial technology company in Vancouver. He enjoys learning new programming languages and
building open source, practical tools in his spare time. Florian also holds a private pilot license and has
recently started working on tools to assist pilots in flight planning. Join this talk to learn how Florian
combines both his passion for coding and aviation!

• WCK staff team up with our Work Experience students to offer exciting summer
opportunities at ‘City Camps’ for youth aged 5-12, navigating childhood cancer and
blood disorders.
