I have tried to create a trading system using the “Parabolic SAR” for
many years now but each time the losses outweigh the gains, and as a
result I did not have the edge over my broker. Without having that edge
over your broker any system you trade will result in losing money over a
period of time.

The best use I have found for the “Parabolic SAR” indicator is as an exit
strategy once you are in a trade.

Whatever method you use to enter a trade, using the “Parabolic SAR” as
your exit strategy helps you to ride the position for maximum gains.

You can change the setting of the “Parabolic SAR” to suit your style of
trading best. The higher you have the (step 0.02) the closer the SAR will
be to the price action and the lower you have it the further away it will
be.

the actual entry is the last part in my sequence of importance.
