Similar to those in other Southeast Asian countries, dairy cattle and their products have never
been part of Vietnam’s heritage. However, it does not stop us from moving forward. In the 1990s,
we initiated the “White Revolution”, building our strong ties with smallholder farmers locally and
also began to establish our owned lager scales dairy farms across the country.

Since 2021, we have introduced an eco-friendly farm model with 3 farms in Thanh Hoa,
Quang Ngai and Tay Ninh, a new concept of sustainable dairy farm development adapting to local
natural conditions with regenerative farming techniques.

Consumers’ purchase decisions are increasingly skewed towards naturally sourced and eco-
friendly products, besides quality. Thus, we focus not only on product innovation but also set
goals to achieve sustainable development. The birth of Vinamilk Green Farm eco-farm made new
progress on our journey of green livestock development, bringing livestock farming closer to nature.
Green Farm plays an important role in promoting green farming and is a step forward in pursuing
sustainable, environmentally friendly dairy farming that provides pure fresh milk.

Having built the Vinamilk Green Farm during the last two years despite the challenges brought
by the COVID-19 pandemic, our endeavor demonstrates the brand’s strong commitment to
implementing sustainable development strategies.

The farms and factories in the production chain have created sustainable values for the community, including
employment for thousands of locals, improving the laborer skills through training, and increased access to
modern technology.

The Green Farms also drive local economic development through sustainable agriculture, specifically by
purchasing corns and grasses for cow feed from local growers with G.A.P standards and supporting them by
providing organic fertilizers, which plays a significant role in improving their household income.

Furthermore, we also give training and encourage farmers to practice sustainable farming methods that
compliance with Global G.A.P standards.

With Vinamilk Green Farm fresh milk, we do not stop at the story of an ecological farm and sustainable
development, but besides that, we are also participating in many activities to propagate a green lifestyle.
Building awareness and habits of environmental protection, such as the 1 Million Trees Fund for Vietnam
has been implemented since 2012 until now with 1,121,000 trees planted in 56 locations - belonging to
20 provinces and cities across the country. Most recently, we have accompanied the Vinhomes Go Green
program to build a Green Urban Area and a Green Resident Community, and encourage residents to improve
their green lifestyle and protect the environment.

Through products and practical activities for the environment, we hope to convey more clearly the messages
and commitment of sustainable development to customers, this is a long journey and requires long-term efforts.
