Stoic Philosophy identifies with an unbiased and predictable order of the universe.

As
we consider this tenet we realize that it is much more than passive acceptance of the world or a
blind acceptance of things as they are. Stoicism is an entire process of life. It is a rational and
organized scheme. It is a practical application of self and being. Stoicism realizes a connection
between man, soul, and the world he lives in. To be a Stoic one must practice, or apply the
principles, and one must attempt to live in restraint and to be fearless of loss and death. A Stoic
must strive to live in accordance with nature.

What is nature? This becomes the next important question in Stoic philosophy. What
does it mean to live in accordance with nature? Based on what I learned from the reporter,
stoic philosophy is a very complex concept. It is in direct correlation with the sequence of
events that are fated to occur in a rational universe. It builds on the premises that each thing in
the universe has its own character. For me I believe that living in accordance to nature means
living within our place in the world and our ability to reason. On other hand, people's primary
concern was to avoid living an unfortunate life. Therefore, we’re more likely to order our
thoughts, decisions, and behaviors to promote increased life satisfaction. One of my most
important things to keep in mind is individuals didn’t automatically assume that they would
achieve happiness by attaining money, prestige, and or beautiful things. With great urgency, I
just wanted to understand how I could have an excellent soul.

Furthermore, stoic philosophy makes me realize that fear, anger and other emotions are
personal choices. Outside forces play as a catalyst but learned helplessness that a person takes
on in situations is personal and controllable and is the antithesis of stoic belief. We, people
understands that no matter what chaotic circumstances surround us, we have total power over
our own emotions and our inner life.
