Demo class - 1 Oracle Fusion HCM

 Oracle Fusion was introduced in the year 2011.


 Oracle Fusion is a product which is used to manage the business
organizations like human resource, finance, supply chain management,
procurement.
 It is an ERP tool to manage the business process.
 Oracle Fusion comes under ERP family.
 Oracle Fusion HCM is used to manage all the HR related activities like
hiring, promotion, transfer, performance evaluation at the end of the year
etc.
 The customer who has brought license will use this software
Ex: TATA Group, Reliance Enterprise.
 Oracle Fusion HCM [Human Capital Management] is brought by the
customer to manage all the HR related activities in their company.
 After learning this course we will be working in consulting companies
Ex: Delloite, Accenture, cognizant etc. for the implementation project.

Creation of User Account Management & Role Management


Step 1:

 Sign into the application.


Step 2:

 Click on Tools

Step 3:
 Click on Security Console.

Step 4:

 Click on Users.

Step 5:

 Click on Add User Account to create a new account.


Step 6:

 Select Associated Person Type as None or Worker.

Step 7:

 Select Account Information as Active or Locked.

Step 8:
 Fill User Information Details.

Step 9:

 Click on Add Role.

Step 10:

 Search for employee & select the employee with code


ORA_PER_EMPLOYEE_ABSTRACT (Standard Role).
 Click on Add Role Membership.
Step 11:

 If we want to remove the role then click on Delete(x).

Step 12:

 Add Human Resource Manager Role & click on Add Role Membership.
Step 13:

 Add Human Resource Manager Role & click on Add Role Membership.

Step 14:
 If we want to remove all the roles that you have added then click on
Remove All Roles.

Step 15:

 Click on Save & Close


Step 16:

 Click on Sign Out.


Step 17:

 Then Sign in with the user account you have created & see what are added
according to the roles.
Lock Account:
Locks the user account.
 Go to Tools >> Security Console >> Users >> Search for the user >> click on
dropdown under Action.

In the above picture we find a path to go to Lock Account, Reset Password,


Delete, Compare Users, and Copy User.
Compare Users:
This is used to compare the users based on the roles.
 Go to Tools >> Security Console >> Users >> Search for the user >> click on
dropdown under Action.

Step 1:

 Click on Compare Users.

Step 2:

 Click on second user search icon.


Step 3:

 Search for the user that you want to compare & click on OK.
Step 4:

 Click on Compare.
Step 5:

 Above we can compare the roles between two users.


Copy User:
If we want to transfer the roles from one user to another user then we can use
copy user.
Step 1:
 Go to Tools >> Security Console >> Users >> Search for the user >> click on
dropdown under Action.

 Click on Copy User.


Step 2:

 Above we can see that roles are copied and new user name can be created.

User Category
User Creation depends on User Category.
User Categories are:-
 User Name Generation Rule
 Duplication Cases
 Password Complexity Setup
 Password Expiration Rules.
Step 1:

 Sign into the application.

Step 2:

 Go to Tools
Step 3:

 Click on Security Console.


Step 4:

 Click on User Categories.


 Click on DEFAULT.

Step 5:

 Click on Details & Click on Edit.


Step 6:

 Click the dropdown and select User Name Generation


Rule what you want. [User Name]
Step 7:

 Select the checkbox with Generate system username


when generation rule fails. Incase username which has
been set manually fails because of duplication then
system will generate own user name.
 Click on Save & Close.
Step 8:

 Click on Password Policy & Click on Edit.

Step 9:
 If you want to do any changes do it & click on Save
& Close.

Step 10:

 Click on Notifications & Click on Edit.

Step 11:
 If you want to enable or disable all the
notifications then there is a checkbox with Enable
notifications at the top.
 If you want to enable or disable a particular
notification click on the notification below
Template name. Ex: New user created.

Step 12:

 Here we can enable or disable a particular notification at the top with


checkbox.
 Click on Save and Close.
Note: ORA is Standard Oracle notifications.
Step 13:

 Click on Save.

Step 14:
 Click on Users & here we can see how many users
are using this environment.
Step 15:
Click on Users >> Add User Account. Then we can see the below picture.

 Select User Category as Default & Following


conditions will work.
 All the User Categories which have been set based
on that only User Information will be created.
 Ex: User Name will be selected based on User
Name Generation Rule in Details.
 Password Depends on Password Policy.
Create own User Category
Step 1:
Tools >> Security Console >> User Categories

 Click on User Categories & click on ‘+ Create’ to


create own user category.
Step 2:

 Click on Details & click on Edit.


Step 3:

 Give the User Category Name ex: cc


 Select User Name Generation Rule & select the
checkbox if you want like you have done before
for default. Click on Save & Close.
Step 4:
 Follow the steps that you have done for default for password, notification,
users.
Step 5:

 Go to Users & Click on Add User Account.


Step 6:

 Select User Category dropdown and you can see the user category that you
have created (CC) select it, fill the details & create a user account.
 Click on Save & Close.
Step 7:

 Here we can update the user category for an


existing user. Click on User Name Ex: TT.I

Step 8:

 Click on Edit.
Step 9:

 Click the dropdown button in User Category Select


the User Category.
 Click on Save & Close.
Automatic generation of User Account
When hiring details of an employee is registered in a system automatic
generation of user account is created.
Creation of Automatic generation of User Account
Step 1:

 Go to Settings & Actions


 Click on Setup & Maintenance.
Step 2:

Tasks

 Go to Tasks & Click on Search.

Step 3:

 Type Manage Enterprise HCM Information in search box & select it.
Step 4:

 Click on Edit & select Correct.


Step 5:

 Scroll down in the same page then you will find User and Role Provisioning
Information.
 Select this option in User Account Creation. If we don’t select this option
the user account will not be created automatically.

offering click on Opt in Features.

Legal Entities
 The entity or company which is legally registered as per the government
norms in a particular country is called as Legal Entity.
 After Legal Entities Business Unites are created.
 Legally hiring the employee is called as Legal employer.
 The company which will maintain salaries of an employee and tax related
information of an employee is called as Payroll Statutory Unit.
 To deduct the tax according to the country we use Legislative Data Group.
Business Units
 It is the logical operating unit comes under each legal entity of our
customer team.
 After Business Unit we create Departments.

Departments
 It can be identified by which department employee is working.
Implementation Project
To track the progress of a project by the customer/client we need
Implementation Project.
Configuring the Implementation Project
Step 1:

 Sign in to the application.


Step 2:

 Go to Settings & Actions.


 Click on Setup & Maintenance.
Step 3:
 Click on Tasks and click on Manage Implementation Projects.

Step 4:

 Click on ‘+’ to create new implementation project.

Step 5:
 Fill the details & click on Next.
Step 6:

 Enable Compensation Management & its modules.


Step 7:

 Enable Workforce Deployment & its modules.


Step 8:

 Click on Save and Open Project.


Step 9:

 Above we can see the Basic Information about the project.


Step 10:

 In the Task search box we can search for the module that we have enabled
ex: Manage Geographies. Also we can see the path where it is.
Step 11:
 Click on Manage Geographies with Path Workforce Deployment in above
picture Step 10.
Step 12:

 Click on Go to Task next to Manage Geographies.


Step 13:

 Here we can see the task Manage Geographies.


Step 14:

 Expand Workforce Deployment & Select Define Payroll.


 Click on Assign Tasks.
Step 15:
 Click on ‘+’ to assign task to individual users.
Step 16:

 Select the User.


 Click on Apply & Done.
 Same way add one more user to Define Payroll Task.
Step 17:

 Assigning the due date to both users


 Click on Save & Close.
Step 18:

 Here we assigned to multiple users & Due date can also be seen.
 Here there is a slight change instead of assigning task to define payroll I
have assigned to Define Common Applications Configuration for human.

Step 19:

 Here we can change the status of the task by selecting the task & clicking
on Edit Status.
Step 20:

 Here we can change the status & click on Save & Close.

Step 21:

 After changing the status for Run User and Roles Synchronization process
task it appears like this.
Step 22:

 Click on Edit button next to Basic Information.

Step 23:

 Here we can change the status, Finish Date etc..


 Click on Save & Close.
Step 24:

 After project is started in the middle client wants to add more modules
then by clicking on ‘+’ we can add the offerings.

Step 25:

 Make sure to keep Offerings in Search.


 In Name type what offering you want ex: Workforce Development.
 Select the offering, click on Apply & Done.
