cent of India's population and we envision to reverse the
rural-to-urban migration by creating several entrepreneurial

Stubble-waste from agriculture, wooden-waste from

waste-recycling sources can be turned into practically viable
fuel sources by advanced dehydration and compression

BIO-COAL - THE GREEN TRANSITION
TruGreen Sustainables is established with the objective of
improving supply chain for optimum use of India’s biomass
resources for industrial power-generation for electrical-grids.
Biomass materials used for power generation include bagasse,
rice husk, straw, cotton stalk, coconut shells, soya husk,
de-oiled cakes, coffee waste, jute wastes, groundnut shells,
saw dust, etc.
Bio-Coal (or White Coal) is made by high-pressure
compression of regular biomass without any binding agents
and converting it into solid cylindrical bars known as bio-coal.
It is mainly available in two main variants, Bio-Coal Briquettes
(bricks) & Bio-Coal Pellets.
Based on different industrial applications, briquettes and
pellets can be used to replace the traditional fossil fuels for a
sustainable green-energy transformation.

• Bio-coal has a higher practical thermal value and much
lower ash content (2-10% compare to 20-40% in coal).
• Bio-coal has a consistent quality, high burning efficiency
and is ideally sized for complete combustion.
• Combustion is more uniform compared to coal and boiler
response to changes in steam requirements is faster due to
higher quantity of volatile matter in bio-coal.
• There will be no corrosion effect on boiler equipment
resulting in negligible maintenance cost. Coal on the other
hand produces sulfur dioxide, which on mixing with
moisture produces sulfuric acid and corrosive acid.
