CROCHET APPLIQUES

Hi!

Thanks a lot for purchasing one of my patterns. Crochet has been my favourite hobby since 2010.
Although I’ve made lots of projects that took weeks to finish, my most favourite projects are those
made from scraps of yarn.

This e-book has five cute little patterns in it, all made from scraps of yarn. They are easy to make, and
not only fun for beginners. Because of the numerous projects you can use them for, the patterns are
also great for experienced crocheters.

I used these appliques for garlands, hair clips and sewing. But you can also place them in a picture
frame or glue them on cards. For the appliques in this book I used cotton Drops Paris by Garnstudio
and a crochet hook size 4mm. But ofcourse you can use any other cotton with matching crochet
hook.

Feel free to sell any item you made from this e-book, but please mind that the patterns are mine and
that’s it’s not allowed to share them in any way.

 Butterflies

1. Chain 5, attach the first chain stitch to the last with a slip stitch.
2. *Chain 4, 2 trebble crochet in the ring, chain 4, 1 slip stitch in the ring.* Repeat what’s
between * once more.
3. *Chain 3, 2 double crochet in the ring, chain 3, 1 slip stitch in the ring.* Repeat what’s
between * once more.
4. Fasten off.

Make the antenna by folding a scrap of yarn three times around the center of the body. Tie a
knot and you butterfly is finished.
 Fish

1. Chain 8.
2. 1 slip stitch in the 2nd chain from the hook. In next stitches: 1 half double crochet, 3 double
crochet, 1 half double crochet, 1 single crochet.
3. Chain 1. Now proceed on the other side of the chain.
4. 1 single crochet, 1 half double crochet, 3 double crochet, 1 half double crochet, 1 slip stitch.
5. Chain 4, 1 single crochet in the 2nd chain from the hook, 1 double crochet, 1 single crochet.
6. 1 slip stich in the stitch where you started the chain-4 of the previous row.
7. Chain 4, 1 single crochet in the 2nd chain from the hook, 1 double crochet, 1 single crochet.
8. 1 slip stich in the stich where you started the chain-4 of row 5.
9. Fasten off.
10. Embroider the eyes with a contrasting colour.
 More fish

1. Chain 4. Attach the first chain to the last with a slip stitch.
2. Chain 2.
3. 10 double crochet in the ring.
4. 1 slip stitch in the first double crochet of round 3.
5. Chain 4, 1 single crochet in the 2nd chain from the hook, 1 double crochet, 1 single crochet.
6. 1 slip stich in the stich where you started the chain-4 of the previous row.
7. Chain 4, 1 single crochet in the 2nd chain from the hook, 1 double crochet, 1 single crochet.
8. 1 slip stitch in the stitch where you started the chain-4 of row 5.
9. Fasten off.
10. Embroider the eyes with a contrasting colour.
 Flower with leaf

Flower
1. Chain 6, attach the first chain to the last with a slip stitch.
2. *Chain 3, 2 double crochet in the ring, chain 3, 1 slip stitch in the ring.* This is your first leaf.
Repeat 4 more times what’s in between *.
3. *Chain 4, 1 slip stitch in between the next 2 leaves.* Repeat 4 more times what’s in between *.
Change colour at the last slip stich.
4. *In the next bow: 1 slip stitch, chain 2, 3 double crochet, chain 2, 1 slip stitch.* Repeat what’s in
between * four more times at every bow.
5. *Chain 5, 1 slip stitch in between the next 2 leaves.* Repeat 4 more times what’s in between *.
Change colour at the last slip stich.
6. *In the next bow: 1 slip stitch, chain 2, 4 double crochet, chain 2, 1 slip stitch.* Repeat what’s in
between * four more times at every bow.
7. Fasten off after the last slip stitch.

Leaf
1. Chain 11.
2. 1 single crochet in the 2nd chain from hook. In next chains: 1 half double crochet, 2 double
crochet, 2 trebble crochet, 2 double crochet, 1 half double crochet, 1 single crochet. Chain 1.
3. Chain 1. Now proceed on the other side of the chain.
4. 1 single crochet, 1 half double crochet, 2 double crochet, 2 trebble crochet, 2 double crochet, 1
half double crochet, 1 single crochet.
5. Now don’t fasten off. Just do slip stitches in the middle of the leaf from the top to the bottom.
6. Fasten off.

Start with beige
1. Chain 3.
2. 2 single crochet, chain 1.
3. 1 single crochet, increase, chain 1.
4. 3 single crochet, chain 1.
5. 2 single crochet, increase, chain 1.
6. 4 single crochet, chain 1.
7. 3 single crochet, increase, chain 1.
8. 5 single crochet, chain 1.
9. 4 single crochet, increase, chain 1.
Change colour to the colour of the body.
10. Increase, 5 single crochet, chain 1.
11. 6 single crochet, increase, chain 3.

Tie a knot an use it for the eyes.

3. Fasten off and sew the nose on the beginning of the beige piece.
