Present simple

Question tag is a short question that is added to the end of a sentence.

Question tag is used to ask for confirmation (to ask for agreement)

The rules for using a question tag:


• For the positive sentence, negative tag is used.
• For the negative sentence, positive tag is used.

The format
positive to negative tag negative to positive tag

I'm (I am) aren't I ? I'm not am I ?

You're (You are) aren't you ? You're not are you ?

She's (She is) isn't she ? She's not is she ?

He's (He is) isn't he ? He's not is he ?

We're (We are) aren't we? We're not are we ?

It's (It is isn't it? It's not is it ?
