INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETING THIS FORM:


• All the ques�ons must be answered, and no field must be le� blank. If something does not apply
state 'NA' (not applicable).
• GTE Form must be dated by the student.
• Informa�on on this form must be accurate and dates must match with the suppor�ng
documents provided such as qualifica�ons and work experience leters.
• Upload the completed GTE Form along with other suppor�ng documents (evidence of
qualifica�ons, employment, English, financial capacity, etc.) together with your applica�on.
• Agents can get more informa�on on admission requirements and GTE procedures through the
Agent partners & representa�ves page at UOW website.
• Agents must retain a copy of the completed GTE Form and all suppor�ng documents on the
student’s file.
• You do not need to submit a separate 'Statement of Purpose' if you are submi�ng this form;
• Note, text boxes in ques�ons 2, 3, 4 and 5 have character limits of 600 characters.

• UOW and subsidiaries conducts random audits of the Agent’s GTE assessment processes.
• Agents must be aware that they are responsible for making a recommenda�on to UOW and/or
UOW College Australia.
• Recrui�ng a student who does not sa�sfy the Genuine Temporary Entrant criteria set by the
Australian Department of Home Affairs may result in suspension or termina�on of the agent

As a passionate advocate for technological advancement in my home country, I am acutely aware of the
challenges that exist in the IT sector of Bangladesh. The Master’s in Computer Science program at the University
of Wollongong holds the key to helping me address these challenges effectively. Through the program, I will
acquire in-depth knowledge in areas such as Programming and Data Structures, Data Management Systems,
System Analysis and Project Management, Web Development, Machine Learning and Big Data and others that
are integral to developing a strong IT infrastructure in my country.

C. How does this course relate to your previous study and work history? (If your proposed study is unrelated, explain
how this course will support your change in career.)

My educational background includes a bachelor's in Computer Science and Engineering,


which helped me gain a great deal of knowledge and understanding about problem-solving
techniques and how to handle the many obstacles that arise in this field. As an IT, Project
Manager of ShaadBD Global Limited, I've gained valuable experience understanding
consumer behavior, software development, and risk management. Pursuing a master's in
Computer Science from UOW signifies a strategic career advancement for me.

Bangladesh's various study systems offer master's degrees in Computer Science,


providing diverse educational options.However, a specific Master's major in Machine
Learning and Big Data program is unavailable in my country.On the other hand
Universities like University of Toronto in Canada, Georgia Institute of Technology in
USA, Oxford in UK those also offers that program but their tuition fees and offered
courses dose not fulfil my expectation .

reasons for choosing UOW and/or UOW College instead of another university in Australia or Overseas. (i.e.

Australia offers diverse master's programs in Computer Science. Notable universities


include the University of Melbourne, Monash University, and the University of
Sydney,offers programs like Master's in Applied Computing, Cyber Security, Networking,
and Data Science,which prepare students for various roles in today's competitive job
market.Apart from those I choose UOW cause its course curriculum amazed me the
most and it fulfills all my desired subjects for improving my skill and my future career.

After completing a master's in Computer science majoring in Machine Learning and Big Data, I plan
to return to Bangladesh and leverage my enhanced skill set to contribute to the progressing IT
industry. The job prospects in my home country are promising, with positions such as Data Science
presenting attractive opportunities. The salaries for positions such as Data Analytics and Data
Scientist are attractive in my home country, however, I am eager to apply my acquired knowledge
and experience to make a meaningful impact. Also I have a plan for developing my own IT firm.

I will return to my home country as there is a huge scope and high demand for Data
Scientist in local and Multinational companies. In the long run, I plan to become an
entrepreneur. My family's yearly turnover is near about 70,000AUD. Currently, I am
getting 11,000AUD yearly. It can be 30,000AUD yearly with a UOW degree. The degree
I am pursuing is in high demand in my country. Market giants such as DataSoft,
Unilever,Pran, Food Panda,Uber,Grameenphone, Robi Axiata Limited and So on.

I have my parents, siblings, father-in-law and mother-in-law who are staying in


Bangladesh. My entire family will be the most incentive cause for me to return
home.

Savings (Bank Deposits): Bank statements are required either in the name of the student and/or sponsor which indicate the savings amount
shown / required funds, no�ng funds being taken into account need to have been built up over a minimum period of 6 months (where this
is not the case addi�onal informa�on confirming the source of funds will be required);
Educa�on Loan: Documenta�on which confirms the approval of an educa�on loan that is sufficient to meet above funding requirements;
Salary Income: Official Government documenta�on such as tax assessments which indicate sufficient earnings in the immediate 12 months
before a student applies for their visa, i.e. the most recent tax assessment, no�ng for individual students minimum income requirement is
AUD 72,465 and for students coming with family minimum income requirements is AUD 84,543
