Subject: Improvement of the E-Taleem website to ensure that all links are functional

As of January 2022, the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training (MoFEPT)
has received a complaint regarding the E-Taleem website through the Pakistan’s Citizen’s
Portal highlighting that many of the videos on the website are non-functional. To rectify this
issue, the Project Coordination Unit (PCU) conducted an assessment and found that many of
the links on the E-Taleem website are embedded incorrectly, and that the IT desk at the
Ministry does not have the access required to make changes to the E-Taleem website that are
required to improve its working.
2. For this reason, the support of NITB is requested as the NITB created and has back-
end access to the website. To rectify the issues that were highlighted by the citizen,
the following actions need to be undertaken:
 Embedding of code into the website so the links that are connected to the Learn
Smart Pakistan Website can open in a separate window.
 Access to be able to modify the names of videos/links.
 Require back-end access to edit content on other pages on the E-Taleem website
as information is incorrectly reflected
 Require additional subject names and pages to be added to the E-Taleem website.
 For sustainability, require backend access to E-Taleem for regular maintenance
and improvement of website.
3. With reference to the actions above, it is proposed that a meeting is conducted
between the NITB relevant focal desk, the Project Coordination Unit (PCU)-MoFEPT and
the IT personnel at the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training at the earliest
so that this issue can be rectified and is not highlighted again on the Pakistan Citizen’s Portal.
4. This is issued with the approval of the competent authority, MoFEPT.
