2 1. Two (2) pumps are required. One (1) working and One (1) stand-by.
3 2. Maximum discharge pressure is the maximum possible suction pressure specified, plus the maximum differential pressure that the pump is able to develop when
4 operating with the maximum specific gravity specified at pumping temperature and for fixed speed driven units, rated speed and with the larger impeller diameter
5 to meet the 5% head increase specified by para 5.1.6. of API 610 10th Ed.
6 3. NPSHA is estimated at Top of Foundation (T.O.F.). Vendor shall calculate the actual NPSHA at Centreline of Impeller (C.O.I.).
7 4. NPSH margin, motor rating and other limitations shall be taken in account when specifying operating region which shall be clearly indicated on the pump
8 performance curve.
9 5. Motor shall be provided in accordance with S-000-1382-0002V 'LV Motor' and H-000-1382-0001V 'Template for Motor Data Sheet'. 0
10 6. For electrical power supply conditions, refer to the para. 8 of S-000-1380-0001V "Electrical specification".
11 7. When the vendor proposes materials other than ASTM, the equivalent ASTM designation shall also be stated.
12 8. All pumps shall have a continuously rising head/capacity curve. The shutoff head at rated speed shall be at least 110% of the head at rated
13 capacity and not exceed 125% of the head at rated capacity, inclusive of all tolerances.
14 9. For pumps operating at 30% of pump peak efficiency capacity, or below, the suction specific speed shall not exceed 11,600 (m3/hr, rpm, m).
15 10. Noise limit for individual equipment is 82dB(A) (i.e for Pump noise limit is 82dB(A)) , motor driver noise limit is 82dB(A) when measured from
16 a distance of 1m. The combined Noise limit for the equipment train is 85dB(A). Vendor shall propose their pump models satisfying the above
17 noise conditions. If required, suitable Noise abeatment devices shall be proposed by vendor. Noise level for the motor driver shall be
18 confirmed by respective vendor's. Suitable noise abeatment devices shall be proposed for motor if required.
19 11. The unit shall be designed to accept allowable nozzle loads of twice the values given in Table 4 in API 610.
20 12. All pump and motor instrument shall be wired upto junction boxes mounted on skid/baseplate edge by Vendor.
21 13. Vendor shall make seal recommendations and submit full details with his proposal in accordance with 3550-8410-SP-0020.

23 15. Instrumentation shall comply with project specifications attached in requisition.
24 16. Sun Shields / Lighting Protection requirements shall be in accordance with S-000-1370-0002V "Package Instrument Specificaton".

26 of requisition and specifications/codes called for in the Attachment-3 of requisition.
27 18. Material certification shall meet the requirements of BS EN10204 3.1 for pressure casing, shaft/impellers and casing bolts and BS EN 10204 2.1 0
28 for sleeves and diffusers/inner casing. 0
29 19. The support for all seal auxiliaries shall be mounted on the pump baseplate.
30 20. All pressure retaining welds shall be subject to 100% radiographic examination except for 1st connection. 0
31 21. Auxiliary connections shall be examined by either magnetic particle or liquid penetrant.
32 22. If the NPSH margin is from 0.6m and upto 1 meter , an NPSH test as per this paragraph shall be carried out. In such cases, both the NPSH test 0
33 and the performance test shall be witnessed.
34 23. Lifting lug attachments on baseplates shall be subject to a minimum of 100% magnetic particle inspection.
35 24. Motor datasheet in Page 10 shall be filled by Vendor.
