ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Behind the successful completion of this report is the blessing and
guidance of many people. This formed piece of acknowledgement
may not be sufficient to express the feeling of gratitude towards
those people who helped me in every possible way in completion
of this work. I would like to express my special gratitude to my
college and Head of the department DR. RACHIN GOYAL
for giving me the opportunity to do this wonderful
academic training. Finally, I would like to acknowledge my group
members as without them it would have been impossible.

ABSTRACT
According to training requirement, we have passed one month
internship program at P2P Analysis, Mohali , branch from 01/05/2023
to 26/05/2023.This internship focuses on "Integrated CAD using
CATIA," providing hands-on training in parametric modeling ,
assembly design, and product development. Participants gain
practical skills through collaborative projects, preparing them for
real-world applications in computer-aided design, engineering, and
manufacturing. The program fosters a comprehensive understanding
of CATIA's capabilities and industry relevance.

CHAPTER - 1
INTRODUCTION
• Parametric Design:
CATIA V5 supports parametric modeling, allowing users to create 3D
models with defined parameters, making it easy to modify designs
and maintain design intent.
• Assembly Design:
Users can create complex assemblies of parts, simulate motion, and
analyse interferences between components.
• Surface Modeling:

CHAPTER - 2
BASIC CONCEPTS OF CATIA V5
Drafting:
• 2D Drawing:
Creates detailed 2D drawings from 3D models,including
dimensions, annotations, and symbols.
• Dimensioning:
Adds dimensions to define the size and positionof features.
• Kinematics:
Simulates the motion of assembled components.
• Space Analysis:
Evaluates spatial relationships and clearances inan assembly.
• Wireframe Sketching:
Creates 2D and 3D wireframe geometry.
• Surface Operations:
Tools for creating and manipulating complex surfaces.
• Flatten:
Unwraps the 3D sheet metal part into a flat pattern.
• Prismatic Machining:
Defines and generates tool paths for machining prismatic features.
• 3-Axis Milling:
Generates toolpaths for machining complex 3Dshapes.
• DMU Kinematics:
Simulates the motion of mechanisms and analyzes their behavior.
CHAPTER – 3
Why CATIA?
1. Versatility:
• Broad Applications:
CATIA is not limited to a specific industry. It is extensively used in
aerospace, automotive, industrial equipment, electronics, and other
sectors for designing a widerange of products.
2. Parametric Modeling:
• Design Intent:
CATIA supports parametric modeling, allowing designers to create 3D
models with defined parameters. This ensures that design changes
are easily implemented while maintaining the overall design intent.
• Complex Assemblies:
CATIA's Assembly Design work bench allows for the creation and
management of intricate assemblies. The DMU Kinematics
workbench enables simulation of motion, which is crucial for
industries like automotive and aerospace.
5. Surface Modeling:
• Advanced Surfacing:
CATIA provides powerful tools for creating and manipulating complex
surface geometry, making it suitable for industries where
aerodynamics and aesthetics are critical.
6. CAD/CAM Integration:
• Complete Solution:
CATIA offers a comprehensive solution that integrates both CAD
(Computer-Aided Design) and CAM(Computer-Aided
Manufacturing), making it efficient for designing and manufacturing
processes.
7. Industry Standards:
