1) Rahim tosses two different coins simultaneously. Find the probability of getting at least one tail.
2) A coin is tossed twice. The probability of getting both heads is ______.
3) If three different coins are tossed together then find the probability of getting two heads.
4) In a game the entry fee is Rs.5. the game consists of tossing a coin 3 times. If one or two heads
show, Shweta gets her entry fee back. If she shows 3 heads, she receives double the entry fees.
Otherwise she will lose. For tossing a coin three times, find the probability that she (i) loses the
entry fee (ii) gets double entry fee (iii) just gets her entry fee.
5) A die is thrown once. Find the probability of getting a number less than 3 is _____.
6) Two different dice are tossed together. Find the probability of getting (i) a doublet, (ii) a sum 10, of
the numbers on the two dice.
7) A die is thrown once. Find the probability of getting a number which (i) is a prime number, (ii) lies
between 2 and 6.
8) Two different dice are thrown together. Find the probability that the numbers obtained (i) have a
sum less than 7 (ii) have a product less than 16 (iii) is a doublet of number.
9) 12 defective pens are accidentally mixed with 132 good ones. It is not possible to just look at a pen
and tell whether or not it is defective. One pen is taken out at random from this lot. Determine the
probability that the pen taken out is a good one.

queen is _________.
11) From a pack of 52 playing cards, jacks, queens, kings and aces of red colour are removed from the
remaining a card is drawn at random. Find the probability that the card drawn is (i) a black queen
(ii) a red card (iii) a black jack (iv) a face card.

well shuffled. A card is selected from the remaining cards. Find the probability of getting of card
(i) of spade (ii) of black king (iii) if club (iv) of jacks.

the box at random. Find the probability that the number on the taken card is (i) a prime number less
than 10 (ii) a number which is less than 10.

guessing the correct answer to this question is 1/3, then find the value of P.
